Let the proc gen run wild [Suggestion]
Over the past 5 years, No Man's Sky has outdone itself, over, and over, and over.
From foundations, to origins, to frontiers, hello games has done more than redeemed itself, and is a great example of a dev team who genuinely love their game
But throughout these updates, the game is no doubt getting better, but the original image of the game, an exploration game set in space where every new planet is different, is slowly being left behind
I am in no way saying that I don't want gameplay focused updates like we have been recently getting, for these updates increase depth and variety in its own way to the game
What I'm really trying to say, is for a while now the games exploration has lacked some depth
And although origins greatly improved on this idea, when you land on a planet, or even fly above it, everywhere else on the planet will look nearly the same
Many would suggest biomes, but in a game like this it would be hard to implement, and maybe in the future this idea might happen, but for now there may be a more simple solution

Have you ever noticed the ground on toxic planets are exactly the same? Kind of repetitive. What if nearly any ground type can be generated. A sandy toxic wasteland, or a lush grass filled poisonous jungle could all happen if just ground textures are let loose from their restrictions.
This can also fix the problem of being to identify a planet type from space. Currently when you see a toxic planet in space, it looks the same, except color, to Every other toxic planet. A swirly weird rock pattern.
What if one day you look at what appears to be a snow planet, you don't even scan it, because you know what it is going to be. You enter atmosphere, and below is a frozen swamp, with lush trees scattered
The opposite can also be true, you fly to what appears to be a sandy desert, and to your suprise it's...
