Combat Update [Suggestion]
I think the game needs a better pvp system, as pve gets stale after a few hundred (or thousand) hours. I was thinking of something like this:
- Players need to be able to form a faction: shared buildings, seperate account for the faction to buy
things from, event log (similar to ARKs tribelog), shared discoveries and maybe a seperate chat.
- A massive buff to (player owned )freighters: more damage, more health, different customizable
turrets (laser beam, laser projectile, rocket), utility attachements (hyperdrive blocker or similar),
because they are currently way to easy to take down.
A change to freighter limits in a System 2 big and 5 small per faction for example, giving smaller
freighter types a use in pvp scenarios.
More uses for Frigates, like protecting/blocking a planet, mining asteroids, repair/refuel other
frigates, discover planets and their flora/fauna, following set trade routes, all organized from the fleet
command room.
The ability to group freighters in mega fleets for coordinated warps and moving of freighters to a
planets orbit without leaving it.
Frigates actually helping you against pirates, not just watching you doing the work.
- New/changed base modules: Turrets, different hitpoints for different structures (can be damaged
with plasma launcher, geocannon, rockets), forcefields.
- A new way to start pvp to prevent chaos and griefing: A faction can purchase systems in the space
station (removing sentinels and increasing the amount of pirates) and set a tax giving them a share
of all buys/sells. Depending on the height of the tax pvp is possible (or not). I was thinking of
0-2% no pvp, 2-10% pvp can be decleared by another faction and the owning faction has 24h to
accept it or turn it down after, 24h it gets turned down, 11-20% same, but after 24h it gets accepted,
20%+ pvp is always on and piracy...
