It's a small PC mod called "Beyond Base Building" from NMS Nexus that enables almost all the parts to be available both on freighter and the ground. It even allows me to build these when I'm joined to a console player's game.

visual demo for @paper tartan of how to set up multiple groups of extractors to avoid diminishing returns. note for anyone reading this: this is overkill. don't build this big unless you just like building big.
extractors here are laid out with two groups of four extractors per floor. extraction hotspots don't require extractors to be in contact with the ground, and don't change effectiveness as distance from the surface changes. only horizontal distance matters.
without any extractors/conduits, or silos touching each other within each group to avoid diminishing returns, the groups' output flows back to storage - here, on utility poles, and later, underground.

each of the eight feeder conduits then heads to a cluster of silos. normally, you'd put the silos in close proximity to the extractors. i didn't, because i'm stupid and was going for a specific aesthetic.

you could then easily run down the row of silo groups and collect from each one, but I wanted to do so in weather-shielded indoor comfort. rather than enclose the whole storage area in a box, i ran each group back to a central pickup area. silos turned sideways because why not.
also, at no point did the parts from any group touch the parts from another group. even just having connectors for conduits close together can be enough for the game to consider them being part of the same network, and then you're making a fraction of the total you should.

yes, and it should be too much for anyone who's not just out to build big things. the point was to just build more than one group if you want more than 2500/hour. 👍 going vertical is a good practice.
