You need to fill the glyphs first with sodium, oxygen and di-hydrogen then you can use them. You can find coords at https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange/ . Scroll down a bit and filter per Flair for what you are looking for. Make sure to read the post well to find what you are looking for.

@cunning shuttle You've probably figured out by now that the sreenshot you posted earlier is the Portal Charge screen, you simply click each glyph one at a time and then select which element you wish to use to charge it. Once you have charged them all the portal will remain charge and is then available for use to travel to other systems in the galaxy once you have entered an address. The source of addresses for freighters/ship and multitool was already given...
