Since we do a lot of stuff like holding up a ship for each other so we can exchange it for another ship we have we had seem that glitch a couple of times.
Although not to the point where we cant leave that view

Depends on what door you are using.
The freeform ones have open doors, structures have closed, however if you attach a landing pad to the outside of a freeform wall you get the structure style door
I haven't done much testing with the other parts. For instance you can attach a corridor to a freeform wall and it'll make a door in it, you cam then use the structure doors in that corridor
