Well my perspective is that I've seen the games rocky development and apparent misleadings that lead to much of the drama. I didn't know it got so bad that HG was hacked and threatened, but everything I heard kept me away until now. My experience is getting the game for free with XGP and then having a lot more fun than I expected with a game that has since been developed a lot. It's a very unique game, albeit repetitive at times, enjoyable.

I can imagine that game would suck on console.

it's basically just collecting the dragons, you can breed them or change their patterns. there's a spot to battle either monsters or other players but they're still working on making pvp work right since it's newer. you can dress the dragons up, or just keep them to look pretty. more or less a pet collector sim

a lot of people who play make stories for their dragons (me included lol) and there's a bunch of lore for it that you can read on the website
