well it also depends on if the device is currently updated... the other NAS I have is not, yet has better features than the newer one, go figure...

the older one has some nice features, mainly built in mail server so it can send emails if things go wrong, backups fail etc the newer one no longer has that feature and you have to use an external server which is a pain to setup and if the WAN connection fails then no emails.... although the newer one has the nicer UI it's lacking in features, but such is the way of Netgear.

I returned my HTC Vive and got my Rift S because everyone said the screendoor effect is horrible. Is it really? Can anyone that has a vive give their honest opinions about whether the screendoor effect is really noticeable?

rofl, so ARK has had a countdown for a big reveal. Turns out it's a new pair of paid expansions called Genesis. Well Sony made a booboo, and they made the new Season Pass visible on the PSN store yesterday (the countdown ends today). So they updated the countdown graphic again, and the decoded text reads "unexpected PSN data detected" lol

Now that is how you handle a leak! haha

@modest glen no worse than the various oculus HMDs, and when playing most games, it's not noticeable because you're focused on the action. Even using my Pixel 2 with daydream view for netflix, it's only slightly noticeable when watching most stuff; a little more noticeable if there's less going on on the screen.

The Index, and there's some insane third-party one i forget the name of, are the only ones that might have a significant improvement over the vive and oculus offerings, and even those I think are more about offering better field of view, rather than straight pixel density

More importantly, Vive and Index tracking is leaps and bounds ahead of oculus, and the only controllers better than the vive ones will probably be the index knuckles.

it was actually the daydream view with pixel 2 that won me over to save for a vive. It was better than i expected the PC stuff to be, and yet everyone said it was crap. If that was crap, the PC stuff must be excellent, and it is.

(I got it free; pixel 2 came with a US$100 google store credit, so i used it on the daydream view)
