It's a Bluetooth thing, section 31, if you look. I put tape over the LEDs and USB port 'cause the lights bug me. I'm weird, I know. That flashing blue light kinda ruined the vibe. I probably mentioned it before but I’m just going to ramble a bit. I plan to keep my S23 Ultra for years because it still does everything I need. Phone upgrades now are mostly small bumps in speed, RAM, or camera quality, which is not worth spending a thousand dollars on. The Fold 7 is tempting since it finally folds flat, but my Fold 3 still feels solid. I think they should start making real changes like flattening the large camera bump so it sits inside the phone and hiding the front camera like they already do on the Fold. Until we get things like built-in AI companions or a true leap in processing power such as quantum computing, yearly releases feel like minor tweaks. Even phones from four or five years ago can still run today’s apps without a problem.

That was quite a bit, and I even removed the iPhone patch details since I do not have an iPhone. It is rather impressive, as it seems they have resolved numerous bugs, which was much needed, and incorporated several features. I particularly appreciate the pin feature, the pen features are very important, as more pins allow for increased usage.

I see what you mean, and I agree in many ways. Tipping culture has changed a lot over time, and not always for the better. These days, there’s a kind of hive mind mentality around it, and so much emotion tied to whether or not someone tips that it’s often expected no matter the circumstances. That constant expectation can create tension on both sides.

I think some of the frustration toward servers today comes from that shift. When tipping becomes something people feel entitled to instead of something earned through great service, it can leave even the best servers caught in the crossfire. Many customers are already feeling pressure or stress before they even sit down, and that can color the whole interaction.

It’s unfortunate, because at its heart, tipping was meant to be a gesture of appreciation. When both servers and customers approach each other with kindness, respect, and patience, it brings the focus back to the connection instead of the transaction. The more we can encourage that mindset, the more it can help restore the meaning behind tipping. @latent yarrow

Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard about the book, that it’s a classic and still relevant to the times we’re in. I’ve been meaning to pick it up and read it, but I was waiting for a sale because I wanted a physical copy. Ironically, I kept thinking, what if they remove the digital version of 1984 one day? You know, censorship and all that. I thought it would be funny to have the physical book just in case. I know, I’m rambling and probably not making much sense, but I do plan to read it through. I haven’t quite gotten back into the full groove of reading like I used to, and I’ve got a whole pile of books, audiobooks, and ebooks waiting for me. Still, I think this one is important enough to move to the top of the list.
