Fun story, while my dad was at bootcamp(?) everyone had to eat what they took from commissary or they'd be punished. One day, they accidentally put out one of those big drums of milk, but it was all spoiled. My dad decided to have cereal that morning, got spoiled milk, and proceeded to eat it anyways because it was better than facing the consequences of not doing so I suppose. Later that morning after everyone had already taken their servings of spoiled milk and many had forced themselves to consume it anyways, some superiors had the milk replaced and said anyone who took the spoiled stuff didn't have to eat it this time, but by that point it was too late. My dad didn't have milk again for about a decade 😂
