Nah, that's the beauty about a French press. It's all manual. You just have to boil the water separately first, on the stove or microwave or using a kettle, then you just pour the hot water into the French press. No disposable filters to deal with either. It's the best tasting coffee imho and all you're spending your money on is the coffee itself.

Cold brew is wonderful but yes, it takes time.
You also go through beans pretty quickly for the same effect.

I should've applied for mine decades ago.

I just didn't see any value to having a piece of machinery I'd have to pay for every month with insurance bills that I wouldn't likely use and was concerned I'd become so worried about maximizing utility, I'd end up spending even more just to justify insurance payments that end up me paying more in gas and maintenance
