I mean, if you already have a plan from the get go how updates are going to be laid out, making an adaptive system and just changing things in a planned process is probably solid and from what I've seen in developers that make trainers for software, they create predictive memory changes

So even if you didn't know where something went allocation wise, you could predict it

In Evochron Mercenary, the guy create an algorithm for his games that randomized memory allocation every single instance you played in and the trigger wasn't in active memory. It was brilliant....imo

but he also programmed the entire game himself...and he knew where everything was. He's like a super hero that gets no credit for being incredible as a programmer

I couldn't even begin to wrap my head around the complexity of that kind of code.

I personally bought the game three times just to raise its profile on steam

That and because the installation was so small, yet the game felt so big, it gave me the distinct impress the dude must have made some beautifully efficient code

After some research here's what I got

The 3 individuals are the 3 children of Sebastian and Josephine Drouet

Sebastian Drouet was a boat captain and Ex-Confederate marine who served in the Battle of Galveston in 1863

They had 2 more children but they were born after the book was signed and dated in 1884 and 1888

It's a science book, probably bought by Sebastian Drouet for his 3 children to use as a school book

Fast forward to 1900

Sebastian Drouet is now dead (he died in 1898)

Adele, Virginia, and Charles are all still living in Galveston, all grown up and with families

One of them, I'm not sure who, had the book in their posession

Then the 1900 Galveston Hurricane hit on September 8th 1900

All 3 survived but Virginia lost her husband and 3 of her infant children, Adele lost her 11 year old son, Charles and his wife both made it out alive

The 3 survivors (and the book) then moved to Houston in the aftermath of the storm
