You can copy the expedition one to your main save or just build a new one on your main save.
The atlas / aeron parts are transferable to your main save and once back on your main save you can claim the atlas parts from the quicksilver vendor at the anomaly.
They also require materials like Pugenum, Salvaged Glass, and silver and metal plating to craft

Sure, this one is pretty easy, I just build some glass walls around the cockpit (the red ones). The cockpit is hard to spot through them
On other corvettes I use the hab glitch, placing a 1x1 hab and attaching the cockpit, then deleting the 1x1 and replacing it with a 2x1 hab and adding windows to the front and sides

I always ignore the fact that I own a part that is not yet implemented.
If you're wondering, it is (or was) available to acquire through bartering at the space station like any other piece, but it cannot be placed; it does not appear in the construction menu.
You can still get the cargo box from actual salvageable scrap modules on planets if you farm parts but it's still not used in corvette building
Fun fact they removed the ability to get this as it was actually a test item and wasn't supposed to make it into the game yet
ive been wanting to build the celestial eye mothership as a corvette for a while now and i cant wrap my head around it bc of some the shapes
i always just go back to bare bones bc the nose of the ship always looks way off

I have a spoiler for my corvette that looks different on the left side compared to the right. Is there a way to make that part look correct on both sides?

Well, it look like two left shoes. If fits on one side but looks ridiculous on the other side. I don't see a match in the list of parts so assumed there was a control to make the part mirror the opposite side.

'Eh... you could still make a really good ship with that. Don't get too caught up in getting the perfect layout. You'll just frustrate yourself. Take a slightly less optimal layout as a challenge.
Even a totally f*cked layout can be a fun exercise to squeeze out every little bit of performance from it.

fresh edits change your corvette to what it was previously which can be handy if you screwed up a placement or deleted something you didn't mean to

You can buy parts from the corvette terminal, but only the basic parts and a couple decor things. For everything else, you need to find a planet with salvageable scrap

Sure! I'm curious to see how others perform. I timed my own fights and found that it takes about 3 seconds to kill most ships, but I am just using a photon cannon. I'd be curious to see how well other weapons perform.

I eradicated a sentinel freighter in seconds
It does seem like beam damage is pretty intense. I'd probably use them myself but I can't really justify spending slots on two different weapons. Maybe one day we'll be able to unequip the photon cannon and I'll reconsider
I do like how good the photon cannon autoaim is though. I'm bad at aiming

What's overkill for a shield stat? I have to redo parts of my Corvette
It was pretty but had no functionally

Idk my shield strength is at 461.9 so I'd say anything over 500 is a bit over the top

I have this for slots so that much shield without even using them was nuts
Shields aren't super important after a certain point, since you can always just recharge them in combat if you are at any risk of dying. But 400 is a decent shield. You can easily get over 500 if you really care enough to add the shield reactors, but there really aren't any challenges that demand it.
Same I'm using the super charged spots for my infra knife build

The reactors definitely serve different functions
Medusa: flight systems, aka maneuverability, fuel efficiency, and boost
Azimuth: landing gear, launch efficiency, auto-charging
Zenith: hyperdrive, warp range, fuel efficiency
Cetus: independent shield system
And when it says performance what is it referring too, it's kinda vague
Having multiple azimuths is useful for increasing the fuel efficiency of launching, but most players rarely land their corvette
I like landing mine, so I tend to include multiple
Yes, also they don't interfere with eachother. You can have 3 of each. (Though getting 3 of the medusa require special placement order since it conflicts with cockpits
Conflicts with cockpits?
Cockpit and medusa reactors give the same stats, but cockpits have less. So if you want to optimize maneouvrability you'll want to place 3 medusas before you place your cockpit
Oh yeah, for adjacency, flight system is just Medusa reactors and cockpit, azimuth buffs landing gear, zenith buffs hyperdrive, and cetus is on its own for some reason
Sometimes different class adjacency can be better, so some corvettes may see better performance with cockpit and 2 medusa
I suppose that could be possible, but I doubt it. I've only ever seen cockpits show up with bad stats

Corvette tech parts seem to recieve much higher buffs compared to random modules of their class
But the benefits almost certainly depend on sc slot layout
I wanted to reserve one supercharged slot for my weapon system, so I ended up using the other 3 to boost my x-class maneouvrability modules

Corvette part stats are weird. I haven't seen anyone come up with a conclusive theory yet. It just seems random to me, but not random in the sense that it changes when you redo it. Maybe the random seed is tied to the ship itself instead. Sometimes the third part has the highest stats too
My shield pieces gave me 8,7 and 8, for example. But when I swapped the first part out for a different model I got 13, 7, 8. So there's definitely some sort of pattern to it. I just don't get what the pattern is
However, placing it in a different order but having the exact same pieces gave me 8,7, 7

How many of each type of upgrade can be used on a corvette? I found a layout that someone I watch on YT had which showed I think it was 6 hyperdrive components, I tried it and got an error. Not sure how to tell how many and what types (S, X etc) can be used for each item. Is there a guide?
You have the core tech, three random modules, three zenith reactors, and the four chromatic upgrades
Plus the emergency warp unit, but thats more of a side-system

Now, here's one thing, my corvette, I didn't use zenith reactors, I used Ceto which look to affect shields, not engines. So does that mean I "lose" 3 upgrades in engines but gain 2 (I used 2 reactors) in shields?
The six hyperdrive things probably came from the three Mac upgrades and three zenith reactors, may also have been the warp drives that let you get to different colors of stars
IF your exosuit is full the part will get put in the corvette or another ship
You can add on three zenith reactors and have them appear. The limit is your available tech slots

take off all the good parts you want to keep until you have just the basic parts of a corvette, trade it with a npc for their ship, and scrap the starship to free up a slot
Go to a space station and trade ships with an NPC pilot, then scrap their ship
Only two out of 3 Medusa class reactors appear in the menu?
In the tech slots only 2 will appear and they work with the cockpit but to get all three to appear delete all but one, apply edits, edit the corvette again delete the cockpit and then add all 3 and then add the cockpit last and you should get three medusa reactors in the tech slots.
And now the cockpit isn't there
it's there but it doesn't count in the techslots
Is it supposed to?
The cockpit counts for working with the meduss reactors but three medusa reactors outweigh the benefits of just having the cockpit and two medusa reactors. I's a way of really optimizing maneuverability

Put three infra knife turrets on your Corvette, put the turrets into the supercharged spots in the ship inventory and try to get an S rank infra knife module that increases fire rate and put that module into the super charged spot as well. After that just get 2 more S rank infra knife modules and you're good to go

As for your other question, no. You can get almost everything through salvage or trading at the station. The exceptions are the black and red atlas pieces and the deadshot gun that comes from expeditions.

You'd have to loot near a thousand to have a good chance of getting at least one of evertthing.

It really isn't that complicated. There's over a hundred pieces. So to have a reasonable chance of at least one of everything you'd have to loot over a thousand. That gives you a roughly 90% chance of having at least one of each piece.
apart from being customizable like what unique use do corvettes have?
ive had one since almost i started playing and i love messing around with the build but i always feel myself returning to my normal starship

Their base stats are similar to haulers, but they have special modules that stack with regular modules. So in the end all stats are going to be higher with a fully teched out corvette. Not so much that you should feel it is a requirement to switch though. As for unique uses, you are able to leave the seat and have the corvette hover in place and jump out of it, which means you never have to worry about launch fuel ever again.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing a regular starship can do that corvettes can't do (a little bit) better, but getting a corvette to be faster than a fighter takes some effort.

It's not like it detracts from theirs in any way. Just build whatever makes you happiest.
Dumn question. I just got my first corvette but I ran out of room to install tech. How do i get more spaces to add them and more modules? Sorry I'm a noob I have like 25 hours total
The trick is to install upgrade modules, then remove all except the bare minimum of functional corvette modules, then fill the tech slots as much as you can, and then add those corvette modules back
There are three ways, you can buy new slots at the back of space stations for units. This is extremely expensive though. You can use storage augmentations in the same place to add slots. Storage augmentations are mainly obtained by scrapping other ships. Thirdly, you can fill your tech slots and then add pieces to the corvette that would spawn a tech, that'll increase the size for free.
That last method is cheating of course, so at that point you could also just turn on free build mode and "buy" the slots at a station

It is definitely not cheating, it takes far more effort than changing the difficulty
And it only works to the ship class slot limit
It is absolutely cheating. But I'm not saying that should stop you. Only you decide whether you are cheating yourself out of gameplay you like or not.

It's clearly a bug. Exploiting bugs is cheating. But it's not like you're harming anyone but yourself so just go for it.
You're still going to have to use the other two methods to increase your general ship inventory though. The exploit only works on tech slots

Well, there might be a way to push more cargo slots, but it would likely be even more difficult, lol
I havent tested what happens if you remove a module that adds cargo slots when all slots in the ship are full
At some point one really should just consider toggling free build :p

Just by scrapping ships. One way to find free ships to scrap is by doing missions for the autophages. Many of their missions just point you to the nearest ship and asks you to scrap it

i got a ship but do i claim unit worth or extract module

Yeah I spent all day the other day building the hull of mine. Lots of trail and error
I had wanted to just refit my original design, but the aeron parts don't play nice with snapping zones. So had to completely tear it down. Honestly, the worst part was the interior
what the interor like?
mine is pretty simple because I'm not creative with the insides
I even ended up shrinking it just to the main part of the ship because I kept getting lost when I had the habs under the wings
apparently recolors of the ambassador habs aren't that noticeable
I'm on mobile right now, so can't get any screenshots. But it's got 2 living quarters with food processing, 2 bunks each, various decorations, one side has stuff for korvax/autophage theme quarters, the other is traveller/gek/vykeen theme. 2 refinery rooms with storage decorations, same for the actual cargo pod rooms. It also has a mini CIC with a meeting table, mission console, and some other monitoring themed equipment like a miniaturized universe deco and topology table. Finally its got a multi tool/weapon rack room for my military theme with various decos. The other rooms don't have any function, but I've still kitted them out, one of them has several funaces and a cyclonic lathe with barrels and such, the other has workbenches with hydraulic arms working on stuff like motors.
Oh, it's also got 2 agriculture rooms with plants and shit
Found a way to use all 100 parts, S class corvette time!

-2000+ lightyear hyperdrive

how do i trade for multiple of the same corvette parts at a time?
on PC I hover my mouse cursor over the part then use E to raise it and Q to lower the part count but there is no indicator of how many until i've selected until i go to the trade screen.

You unlock base buildable items in the Anomaly at the Construction terminal behind where polo and nada are; you can then use those by entering base build mode wile inside or near your corvette

You can actually delete your unused corvette, Just exchange your corvette with lifeform's starship and then salvage your exchanged starship

im new to the game and have probably spent more time editing corvettes than the actual game.
However I recently discovered that you can go beyond the initial tech slots avaliable when building.
Is there a limit to how many parts you can use?
And does this effect how many Techs you can use also?
Tech types are limited to 3 placeable modules per type. You'll get small stat changes if you place more than 3, but you won't be able to see them in your tech inventory, and won't be able to receive adjacency bonuses from them. You can still augment the performance of the Corvette using the same ship modules you would for a normal ship. Again, these are limited to 3 per type(excluding upgrades that you have learned from the tech terminal like the one in the anomaly) before you overload that tech type and have to delete one.
My first glitch build. No theme really.. wanted to make it look like two massive engines. I think it looks like a turtle.. s class 200 u/s (600 u/s boosting) in atmosphere
Oh so thats why, for example if i place 3 Hulls or boosters. After a while they stop displaying.
So tech aside, I can continue to build aesthetically without any real limitations?

Balanced is the baseline, but you can basically change it to something better for your current situation
My thing is that i 2-3 shot pirate and sentinel ships already with phase beam and i hardly take damage from anything when in balance mode
I have never experienced actual danger for my ship lol
Fair lol, I play permadeath and have been ended by pirates in my first few hours so if you ever attempt that or need a fast escape, that might be the way forward
Seriously though, pirates are evil in permadeath depending on the settings. Still, if they send three after your starter ship or even two, it becomes absolutely probably the end of the run if youβve only just left the planet for the first time

To anyone interested this is how you get a scanner room on your Corvette

Hover your ship just above the ground if possible, if not then land somewhere flat-ish so you can use the terrain manipulator.

Find where you want to build the item and remember where it's located (preferably on the lowest lvl of your ship if possible) then go to the underside and in your desired spot create a small hill clipping through the bottom of your ship but big enough for you to see through the floor of the ship (you'll be using the terrain later). Place a small crate near the are for later.

Press start, catalogue and guide, building parts, freighter construction, find what you want to place (I've only tried the scanner room but in theory it should work for all of them) and pin it then leave the menu.

Go into your base building menu, press the "edit placed parts" button then press the "toggle edit/build" button and the scanner room mats list should come up.

Use the cache glitch (press "toggle wiring" and "toggle edit/build" at the same time) to store the scanner room (if done properly you'll be able to duplicate items).

Duplicate the crate you placed earlier and switch to your build camera. Go to the area you want to place said item and switch item placement to your camp instead of the Corvette.

Press these 3 buttons almost simultaneously in this order if you're on console: XBOX - start, Y, R2. PSN - start, β, R2.
I'm not sure what these buttons are on PC. If done properly you won't be able to delete the item. If not done properly you'll be able to delete the item in which case you'll need to pick up an item and place it back down and repeat process from step 3.
Hey gang is there a way to get the atlas pieces if you haven't done the expedition? I haven't played in ages because my Nintendo switch is broken. I'm building a PC so I should be able to play within a few months but Im just curious if I can build with the atlas pieces then
You can only get those pieces by doing current Breach redux expedition or trading them with someone.
If on PC you can do the expedition later by using this expedition tool and or just basically save editing your game

Well, what I want to ask about corvette building is what do I barter with for new corvette parts? I have my corvette from the first corvette expedition and I want to add ambassador parts to the upper floors and thunderbird to the lower and I am almost done but it didnβt seems like they were accepting my cockpits and other parts I got from the expedition reward.. is it something else that I am supposed to barter? I only have the reward items from the last expedition in my current build which is great but a mishmash of random parts.
Second, is there a way to knock out the automatic walls to make my basement/cargo floor seem more open?
And can last, can I glitchbuild but just to add a way to spawn the bike Exocraft inside part of my ship and launch from it like a missile?
better stuff more chance but ive gotten engines and stuff from like 10 to 20 percent so it helps to have high percent but you dont need it

i have a question if i complete expedition 20 on a brand new save do i keep anything from my inventory when i go back to my main or is everything just on that save?
Only phase rewards are unlocked account wide anything else is not transferable if you're not starting the expedition from a main save.
Starting from a main save = you can transfer items,, ships etc back.
Starting from a new save for the expedition = only phase rewards are unlocked for all saves

Also it's best to use the terrain manipulator on thin surfaces like base floors. I find it to be easier to clip through than thicker Corvette pieces

If you mean the material refiner you need to be in your corvette and not the corvette editor, enter base building mode (if on PC hit Z) , in the first category denoted with a chair symbol you look at the first row and you should see the refiner there and can place it with one hydraulic wiring and 20 platinum
How people make these corvettes in Blender? Is it some kind of mod that let you import corvette build or something?
Blender is a separate 3d rendering program and you'd probably have to get a plugin for NMS ships etc and also probably have to mod your game. You can also try asking in #nms-modding.

The only way to get them/build with them is by having Difficulty > Crafting = Free

Only if you were on survival difficulty, which would disqualify you from earning the achievement "Take a Deep Breath" (it would warn you about this)
I miss my ship from Starfield. I dont know why that ship builder seemed so much easier for me to build something cool with. Not knowing how to (or really wanting to have to) glitch build here seems really limiting.

That's a very fixable problem though, just place a trim piece on the side of a hab and then mnove the hab. Congratulations, glitch building unlocked.
Half placing (at least that's what I call placing parts between grid) is not that big glitch, there are harder ones

You have normal snap points and "advanced" ones
It really isn't that complicated. You're overthinking it. All you need is to place a trim or a rockhopper propeller on a hab and move the hab. That's it. There are weirder tricks out there but they really aren't what you need to do what you wanted.
Ill keep trying I guess. 300 hours on this recent play, I have done pretty much everything (4 S settlements, S tier sentinel ship, S tier autophage staff, S tier freighter with 20ish living frigates) each expedition redux that made me make a corvette made me want to try again, but each time I just make a pile of dookie and give up lol. I know its operator error, Im just saying the ship builder could be a little more user friendly
They should ale the grid a lot smaller amd smaller parts so. We can get smoother more intricate stuff without needing to glitch

By manually moving everything, or using the base building app on PC but that requires doing a small amount of math and precision

Do you build your ship towards the front end of the editor? I did mine towards the back by accident, and flying in third person has my thrusters clog up half the screen
I usually start in the middle for small/ medium ships and in the front for large ships
