I don't use any of the Corvette mods. I would suggest asking there. They probably know better about mod bugs and fixes that are common

60 is the maximum number of ship tech slots you can unlock without modding
And that's fine for ships. Not for Corvettes

But the difference between ships and Corvettes is ships come pre-equipped with five essential Tech.
Corvettes can have almost two dozen slots taken up by various Tech depending on what you use

You can also put a save point behind your bunk. Hidden once you place it. So you have to activate your bed to save

Place something like a locker at the end of the hab next to the doorway. Attach a Wonder projector to it in the direction that your med Bay will be lined up with.
The Wonder projector will project into the med Bay once you place it. And you can remove whatever you used to place the Wonder projector on after you get it on there

If they are cosmetic parts like wings and all plating they don't. But any of the parts that you place from that first page of the Corvette build menu do count against your 60 tech lots

That's somewhat true, but another 3 will also boost damage (even tho game say limit is reached). They just won't show up in tech menu
It doesn't increase your ship stats past 3.
But you're still adding more weapon platforms to your ship. And each one of those weapon will strike the enemy. Multiplying your damage
Hiding weapons inside small Corvettes is one of my favorite parts of them. You look unarmed but you're packing a death ray
Sometimes hiding them is impossible without glitch building tho (and I'm pretty bad with this)

Not at all. I really don't use any manipulation to do it. Really you just got to place a have somewhere to get it to attach. Then take the hab away.
Like you can put a half hab under one of your thicker wings. Attach the gun to that and then take away the hab. The gun will stay hidden inside the wing

Build two long habs on the inside of the one it won't attach to. Sticking out one next to where you want to place that Wing unit.
Try to attach that unit to the side of that hab then remove the hab.

For darker ships, I usually try to get it in the systems starlight or in atmo on the daylight side of the planet
Because since the start of the game hello games artists preferred ships that were colorful, bright and lacking of many dark tones.
So with Corvette building and tricks that help you shift colors from bases and freighters to Corvettes people are able to get the darker ship colors they've been wanting for years. For the first time
A darker ship is also better for hiding its flaws and bulges. Like dark clothes having a slimming effect 😂

Access ramps can be attached to the end of habs. If you're trying to turn it around you have to rotate it so that it attaches to the other end.
Is there any way to flip an internal stairway? Not rotate, flip
The Corvette in this image is a good example of how to keep underside interesting... Just have a single Hab on ground level with the landing bay. And then start building upwards and outwards with inverted hulls

Not sure if anybody's told you yet but now that you have a Corvette you can find pieces so much faster. Because now you can mark them and farm them from the air.
Blasting them with a photon Cannon will collect them. Can gather up a ton of parts real fast that way
My corvette conundrum is that I don't want to compromise what I consider primary functionality to make it look nicer.

not exactly, you press the quick transfer button, and the cache will be a choice in the menu
The placement of that ladder is pretty static like that. You're not able to manipulate where the hole is in connection to the snap point or the ladder
you can kinda make a spiral-ish stairway though
The ability to turn the ladder to a port & starboard access from fore & aft would be handy.

I got stuck in a tree after bumping it and then bounced around until I died... a few times... until I removed the 90° rotated parts

I think this is a display bug
go into the workshop and exit and it'll probably correct itself
anecdotally it only appears to affect the numbers and not the performance of the corvette

You can merge a sidways or backwards/forwards walkway (I’ve been rotating my thunderbird landing bays backwards because it’s nicer for some reason the flip button just doesn’t work on them) into the landing bay, then add a stairway below it
you can use cache pinning to put a planetary scanner into the corvette
supposedly it's just aesthetic after 3, but not with phase beams
Is there some setup to use wire mode when editing a corvette? For me as soon as I look at a corvette or corvette part it just deletes wire mode completely
the bullets come out of all weapon platforms, but they come out at the rate they're supposed to, phase beams don't have a rate, so all the gun platforms fire at once from all weapon platforms

Yeah I went to a base and as soon as I enter or look at my corvette any base part gets red stated and the option to enter wire mode disappears

The wire mod glitch method in your base that Beeblebum used was patched out. Because like he said in his tutorials it was unstable, glitchy and prone to crashing your PC. If not breaking your save file completely.
This also removed the easy ability to set up vertical building in your base and then take that to the Corvette building menu
Some people have said they can still lay base parts on their Corvette at their base. Which is true. But I've yet to see a video of anybody successfully taking off and those base parts coming with them. Because now they just stay at your base and you fly away.

Yeah if you fenagle with rotated habs, but just hitting the flip button makes it disappear
I still prefer ambassador ones, they look really elegant, thunderbird one has a lot of junk inside
I do like the ambassador nutrition on for "grab some coffee as I head to the cockpit" - vibes
plus it feels like a proper meal prep area - the thunderbird nute is more of a comfy relax and play a game vibe that happens to have a slurpee machine 🙂
Honestly I find the ambassador parts really hard to work with, especially when you want to use less space
And the ambassador refiner unit specifically messes up a lot with collision
I didn't know about the ambassador refiner. That could explain some spinning problems I've had with other corvette builds
I recreated something similar to this setup with an ambassador reactor and the act of walking forward resulted in getting stuck because I would walk up onto the refiner and glitch climb into a corner
OMG yes! Me too - I just never connected that with the ambass refiner
This problem does not occur with the titan and (presumably) the thunderbird refiner
Though I have ended up having to reformat some ideas because having a refiner or other module in the thunderbird loading bay in the wrong space teleports you inside of the module

Fellow corvette builders, is it bright enough station?
I've used nothing but ambassador Habs for lighting purposes and I've never had any collision issues or physics problems related to them or refiners

I've had that happen once. I just deleted the refiner and replaced it
That's what I like about many of the ambassador pieces because graphically they stick out further. Less physical assets. So you can put more stuff behind them.
This is a normal hab, nothing fancy going on, and all I did was hold forward into a refiner.

I am thinking of changing some of the ambassador hubs to thunderbird ones, they will fit better some parts of my corvette
If it wasn't for the lighting potential I might change. But the natural colors of the other hab just override a lot of the lighting you try to put in place
The worst part is I do really like the look of the ambassador parts, but they just do not lend themselves to unorthodox/glitch building techniques at all
Doors you get stuck in, modules you get stuck in, even the cockpit shape makes it worse for glitching

also you can have ur corvette on autopilot, scan for salvage containers and shoot them with ur corvette to get the parts
Finally, I managed to find a place for 3 additional phase beams! I were able to place 2 of them inside the side engines and the third one is sitting under the corvette (still looks good)
All the planets I've found have had 1 or 2 every couple thousand units. Just bad luck?
Bad luck, they can spawn more or less frequently.
also added holodoors to my thunderbird landing bay because we need interior doors. Might see about wiring up the solid door instead using a prox switch

how do you get the darn thing to hang - when I try it I can only offset it and never center the tapestry
Been hunting for things like salvage scrap, curious deposit and fossils avoid planets. Especially the large ones. The resource pool will be spread across too far of an area. 900u+ between resource points.
Find a nice small Moon with whatever you are looking for. Smaller geography causes lootable sources to be placed much closer together. Often just 200-300u apart

The irony is that we perceive a spaceship with greeblies as more realistic when the fact of the matter is a real spaceship would need to be smooth to avoid unnecessary damage from micrometeorites and whatnot.

when i do a photo shot of a corvette for presentation I crank my settings up, enable steam compression less mode and always use F12. I only use the NMS photomode in game for mission or expedition requirements.

Sometimes you forget how big the corvettes actually are(at least I do)
You're not able reroll supercharged slots once you've finalized a corvette only on creation and by doing the create it quick, go upgrade it viva nanites, and then check it and see if you need to reload a autosave.

And you can copy over your ship

Start expedition with the save that has the ship you want to transfer
Copy that ship into expedition. Finish expedition.
Copy Corvette by claiming rewards and items from expedition in your main save.

It's like duping your Corvette but you don't need to change anything. Since it's from save to save and not the same one

A bit, shots won't come from core of ship but from turrets.
No effect on long range, but in knife-fighting you'll notice them offset.
Also, rank is independent on parts, corvette starts as c-class and you need to invest nanites at ship upgrade station.

Hey travelers, I was wondering if you can go straight to crafting a corvette in creative mode and do you get access to all the parts?
You can do that but you'll still have to do the starting parts of NMS to get to at least the Anomaly; parts you'll have access to 99% of the parts but Aeron / Atlas parts are locked behind the Breach expedition so if you don't have that doen you can't use them at least untill unlocking them in the Breach Redux later this year

Totally up to you. Keep in mind that corvette parts are stacking with S/X mods too, giving even MORE stats.
But you have to sacrifice versatility. For example, keep only a single weapon type.
My corvettes has x3 of all 3 of moving-related reactors (total 9), 3 accounted hubs, 3 engines, 3 guns, 2 to 3 landing gears. I'm not using Ceto generators. I'm using shield generators only if I think that this corvette can be slower, otherwise I'm filling space with trails and figurines.

Beachhead update seems to have made corvette build worse, I tried to replicate mine on the expedition save, the parts no longer fit as they once did and I found a massive bug deleting parts.
I noticed parts disappearing out of the blue, any deleted part goes to the exosuit instead of the cache, if you have no exosuit space left, the parts go to the void.
I was like WTF did that go? It gets permanently deleted. Why not make them go to the cache instead?! 🤦
Oh the same apply to swapping parts, I traded all the reactors and you name it, new save have not many exosuit free slots, well, all the parts traded went to the void, completely deleted 🙃
Somebody posted a video of the Corvette they were building earlier just vanishing during build mode. Lost all their parts too
Back up your saves before building until next updates or patches. Weird stuff is going on
I didn't have any problems during the expedition because i didn't take my corvette in but when i got out most of my cargo modules were gone along with the save point and red pill lights i had put it
Were you trying to dupe it by changing parts and changing its name? We may be seeing efforts by HG to prevent that

Kind of hitting the nail on the head there. Most of these Corvette disappearance issues I'm seeing are on the PC side. Doesn't look to be hitting PlayStation and Xbox users nearly as bad

All platforms are experiencing random crashes, force closes and other similar bugs. These Corvettes have really done a number on the game as far as general stability.
I don't think it's been this bad since the Origins update. That broke the game in so many ways. Went on for many months after it dropped

well using Rockhopper module and the Ducting Outlet glitches. Will make sure to have free-placement of almost anything.
Offsetting, rotating, access ramp meshing and free window placement to build at any angle..... Beyond mods there's not a whole lot else we can do
Just doing a 90° turn on part of your ship to build off of opens up a lot of options
i also used the 2 wide multi glitch
so i have 10 phase beams and 4 infra knifes in 1 grid slot
That could help to. Never used it myself since i didn't find a reason yet ot use it
Super simple window placement for 90° building. It places it a half slot up, half offset. So you can offset it to drag it back into normal place if needed
Just line up the center of your cockpit with the yellow line on the space station to center yourself perfectly.

Just go absolutely crazy on your first build. Balls to the wall, all glitches, throw random things everywhere. No mercy, no thinking. Just build.
Switching to creative mode to build corvettes for fun or experiment without needing to farm parts is also an option

The major majority of parts are aesthetic and real grind of Corvettes come from opening up all their slots and raising up their classes.
I view the cosmetic parts like skins. And I hate grinding for skins. So I just cheese those. Because I don't want my creativity to be sidelined because I haven't grinded enough
Well, there are some guides of "build the specific corvette" type. But I'd check only the offset/180 hub rotating guides and go from there.
I have build the NMS equivalent of a Fiat Panda so far
at least it's not a Dacia Sandero corvette

If you can find a small moon with it and that says abundant in the resource list in the visor on when you've touched down on it you'll be set but that might not be as easy to find; it'd be something to keep in mind or an eye out for if you see it

Right now, cyclotron ballista have best AOE, sometimes it can hit even salvage under unbreakable terrain.

All my designs are sharp, kinda chonky, diamond or triangle shapes.
I've run into situation like that too. Sometimes, you just have to choose looks over stats boost.

And that's why the ambassadors are the best for lighting. Because by themselves they are just pure white and whatever lighting you put in place overrides it. Rather than blending in with it.
And since the lighting is continuous it really negates any strobing effects of going inside the anomaly or stations

I am so glad someone else has seen that movie
I have a main Normal save and a survival save so i ran it twice; I ran Breach three times only because i wanted parts for my creative corvette save
I noticed 3 redux expedition bugs: 1. when going into the expedition subsave or back to primary save, frequently the anomaly wouldn't fully load. 2. the globe on my primary save bridge temporarily became yellow to match the subsave. 3. the subsave freighter had a disconnected bridge which I thought was the actual "cool" design until I loaded back a day later and it didn't happen again
the only one of those i saw was 3 but i also saw my freighter warp backwards in the expedition
By all logic those guns should destroy each other but they just create one solid super bright beam 😂

Purely for visuals you techincally can.
Just turn on the creative mod, check how it works, and then go trade/hunt to build it normally.
Even when I would pull the photon Cannon off my ship with a save editor it would replace it when I reloaded the save

There is a mod that let's you delete the essential things in your tech slots iirc. No idea if it works, or if the changes stick. Especially with the tech shuffle.

Mine only has 2 super slots but I found a +shape with the X and B modules and the 3 weapons in the corners worked best for my setup.
I cannot explain how mad I was seeing this shit spawns in breach on built corvette.

I didn't check mine at S, if it was like that I'm fine, I prefer having other supercharge slots of other modules to get better bonus elsewhere.

I've seen once 'vette with all 60 slots supercharged, but I assume it was save-editing.
Don't underestimate the photon cannon, it saves a slot on extra weapons and well it still can become a murder machine.
I've got space for extra figurine thanks to that.
btw somehow some figurines simply appeared in my inventory - I've not purchased them.

Corvette storage module that you craft and install are linked to your planet bases and usually are pretty safe and i haven't had issues with the normal cargo either

Slots on a Corvette are not a problem unless you want to pack in every single figurine and starship trail.

I got all I wanted, I also had room for some figures and trails, I could also get one more if I removed the craftable B launch fuel cost module as I got double azimuths.
I gave up on ceto generators and shield generators to fit trails.
