"Inside" is just the side walls of the interior of the Hab modules. That's where the buildable corvette systems go, like the mission radar. Everything else is buildable everywhere else on the corvette.

Have the exit modules received any changes yet? If I move the landing elevator one block higher, will it still not reach the ground?
after alot of redesigning the tail for my corvette, i go with this bonelike shape instead
the game doesn't allow me to extend it further due to build length size limit :(
i wish i can trim the size more but there isn't any module that fit tiny size
More legs in the back? The titan landers don't seem quite enough, maybe some bigger-scale robot arms or similar pieces in place of legs?

- Next was interesting but barely usable
- Next was the one I started using for a while
- Next was a sidegrade, not really worked for me
- Next was the another one I used for a while looked like a giant space camper
- Next was the first with glitches, and it was awesome visually. But something was not enough (slightly).
- Rebuilt it, got some good ideas, but not perfect
- Rebuilt it, became worse
- Rebuilt it again, was too much.
- Rebuilt it again, now it's a mx of 6 and 9, and it is the best one I've built.

My first creative corvette looks ok, very blocky.
Overtime I ended up making a good looking Crescent ship.
Remade it in survival.
Tried offset and it turned out well.
After that the more I built the worst it looked.
Gave up.
Then I made a thruster on a glass tube.
Breach came out.
Then I made my current best looking ship a fighter stule, the auto name said Chosh.
Remade it in survival and got attached to Chosh.

I kept practicing and ended up with this. It's the design type I wanted.
The first one I didn't know the offset glitches but here I learned about it and used it.
Yes, I had that design in mind, cockpit at the center and the wings like that, I couldn't figure out how to connect them altogether pleasing my taste so I stopped.
Not sure if you did the triple boosters for aesthetics. But if you want better stats you can fit two titan boosters plus one of those three you have in that singular space

Also not sure that Titan will give me more stats.

That Vette was a throwing star attack fighter first, a domed civilization ship second, back to a throwing star fighter.....then finally settled on what it looks like now.
I'm not the biggest fan of the general living hab stuff looking to simple. Especially since I make mine look lived in and bust, I like the thunderbird as for storage rooms the boxes look more filled out and cluttered.

In the end the devs did a pretty good job creating a host of parts in which the average person can just throw it all together and come out with something decent.
I know comparatively to some of these deeply thought out builds they can seem lacking. But there's a lot of really good looking Corvettes in the anomaly that you can tell don't use any glitching, offsetting or other tricks

I use ambassador just for my living space, if you use items you can make it look lived in I don't even use the bed.
why the hell we cannot place modules like refiners or berths into dead ends of the hubs? That's hella logical

For a first time feature, it was pretty good, sure had some bugs but first time features are never smooth, if you deal with system release, the first time always go to shit 😅
In my last ship I used the ambassador walkway to create a gaming pod with a sofa, console and controllers and a TV.

Like if you really want to screw up your Corvette drop a mobile nutrient processor at the end of a hallway. Glitch it in there at your base.
You won't be able to fly for more than 10 seconds before slamming into an invisible wall.
But if the unit is against the wall you're just fine

When you wear a cape in your Corvette it's constantly snapping back and forth. As if the game's physics are trying to rip you out into open space 😂
I tried to get a warp gate into my corvette only to find doing that removed my items on the floor above.
Ark didn't have this issue. Because from the start of the game base parts that could be placed in a static position were also designed to be mobile. Built on the back of dinosaurs and flying creatures.
Corvettes is them trying to transform their building mechanics from purely static to partially mobile.
My only issue/bug or whatever you wanna call it, is the bases, going to some bases with teleport makes the Corvette to spawn in your head, others it does spawn right, the next day it doesn't 😅

I'm trying to do the thing with the barrier as stairway hand rails. Any tips to sizing and aligning them properly? I have to apply it to 3 stairways and it's taking a lot of time and even then ends up being off in some way or other.

The window on the left is ugly AF on any ship, that is not spherical, the one on the right forgets to be transparent, and the Stardestroyer-style third is buggy, you fall "into it", and have to jetpack out... 😭

i'm worried about the length of the overall ship but i think it could be 2 habs and 1 walkway at most.
The cockpit placement might be an issue but i think putting the walkway ontop of the two habs and the cockpit ontop could work

I made a ship using atlas parts, turns out these parts can have a decent distance between sections, so I managed to make a fighter trio.
Its pretty neat when the squadron is out
When you have an access ramp on a ground level hab and an access ramp on the back on the floor above it usually results in your bottom hab resting on the ground

How to recenter corvette on landing pad, I've build too far forward, now can't extend.
It does that because the hab is lower than any other collision point. Including the landing gear and the access ramp on the same level as your cockpit
You have to manually slide everything back. There's no way to move an entire grouping of parts or the entire craft like that

I usually just wait until somebody is exploring my ship. And when they go into my top hab that's closed off I delete the ladder under them. Then take off
I've had that happen. Look at this design, its so complex that after I built it, one small change requires me to tear it all down
I just tested it, if I hit someone's ship amd they arent in the cockpit, they get tossed into one of the other ships in the trio and can't escape (unless they have a orbital uplink)
Seems to me this new feature still requires polishing.

Well of course. It's a completely new system and they're planning on using it for shipbuilding in their new game light no fire. So there's going to be a lot of polishing, testing, updates and additions to Corvette building mechanics
For example, now chairs are considered decorations and don't effect the complexity limit, but some flags still change it
It's completely random what decoration it decides to absorb into your Corvette build and which one it does it. You can have 10 chairs on your Corvette and half of them get absorbed and the other half don't
whenever the corvette builder throws a fit, it was always because of a base decor item for me
If you get the message that all parts must be connected and you can't find the source of the conflict just start building scaffolding all over your ship.
Eventually the error message about disconnected parts will disappear. The last scaffolding you placed is the area that the conflict is happening
Well, now if I remove the big Piracy flag, it says the ship isnt connected to anything. Like the parts are all disconnected

Yep. In this case, its actually the decoration holding it together, but its a pirate dreadnought so the flag is kinda required

The most fun is with the new atlas parts, the wings have a odd part that allows distance between parts, so you can actually separate your build into multiple separate sections

Did exactly that. Made a grounded dropship. 🙂 I'm pretty satisfied so far, since i almost never land, but now i'm able to float very low.
Like, laying flat on the ground in anomaly still a bit weird and not compatible with amby hatch, so I thought about hal-offset for that.

There are many places you can place decals and posters on corvettes. But there's a lot of places where it sinks into the wall or floor.
You can place miniature posters (not decals) which will mesh into the wall and floor. Then use that as a hardpoint base to attach posters and decals. Usually results in them sticking out of places they normally sink into.
When I make the poster bigger it's not the same one that I made small. I attach that to the floor and then just duplicate a second poster to increase the size.
I use these tricks usually 🙂

I mean the purple boxes are booster slots, they boost what you've put into it.
Then adjacency matters on same bonus giving techs and boosters. Even the shape.
So it seems you don't really know what layout is for, so you need to learn a lot. That was the assumption, sorry if it felt offending.

You're actually assuming very wrongly; I do know that they're for adjacency and that the optimal is square to boost one thing very strongly or whatever someone decides to boost.
Corvette rolling for SC slots is just very unknown at this point with no clear indication if anything affects it or if it's truly random

I desperately tune mine as well all the time, despite the fact that i can't really recally any aspect of the game where those numbers truly matter.

You can buy basic parts at a space station Corvette terminal, farm them on Planets or Moons that say Salvageable Scrap in the resource list, earn new ones on Expeditions ; trade ones you find at a space station corvette terminal for more advanced ones

You can always change the crafting cost to free / off in the setting upgrade and then turn it back to normal if you want.
or farm runaway mould etc
or get suspicious tech and arms packages from pirate systems, open them and sell the upgrades for nanites

i think the only one you can sit in is the classic one
with the thunderbird ramp you can sometimes edge to the far left side to open it from the outside when someone tries to be funny in the Anomaly
In my experience you can do that with any of the access doors for corvette's; if you don't want people to do that go into the Anomaly with a starship and maybe switch it out when you leave

I had recently gotten an iPad Air with the Pencil and used some drawing program that registered pressure to do it, around the time Atlas Rises was announced (2017). I can't recall the program. I was, in part, trying out what the pencil could do.

At first I thought it was super ugly so I killed a storey and while better, still thought it was pretty darn ugly, but lately I think it's growing on me. yes expect reactor types which you can mix and match expect Medusa Reactor is bugged right now at a max of 2
each reactor is a different type, so you can have three of each
also if you put in three medusa reactors before you put in the cockpit, they will count but the cockpit won't.

you can remove the cockpit, put in a medusa reactor, and put the cockpit back to have the three medusa reactors count instead of the cockpit. However in my case, stats were better with the cockpit.

All Corvette's start at C class and it costs 85k nanites to level it up to S class
Use speedbird parts, try to make a large curve using speedbird parts, you will probs only be able to use 2 Habs and maybe 2 or 3 walkways for this to work
you probably put in too much stuff, but note that you can expand the tech slots (like you can with non-corvette ships)

not the inventory, but you might lose some of the stuff you installed without recompense, so better to uninstall it.

If you want to build a robot it's a heck a lot easier if you have vertical building options. Trying to build a robot fully horizontal is bulky and awkward looking
I got over 400 hours in this save file, so whenever I do something tedious or large, I make a backup save file.
Now Gundam in flight would be much easier horizontally. I can see why they did that. And it looks really good

Here's a wild story, I forgot to take out a refiner I installed and so I lost it while editing. I actually had something in the refiner at the time so of course that was lost. So I mourned the loss and reinstalled the refiner. Save, quit. Sleep. Next day, I load it up. Some time later, I need to use the refiner... what? there's my lost refined material!
with no transformable or movable parts in motion that would articulate joints you'd be looking at doing two builds one that doesn't have a transformed look and one that does

As expensive as they are for a new player to purchase they are source of fat revenue early on in game. Selling off those parts can net you tens of millions in a very short time.
There are only a few parts you need to get your Corvette up and running. And there are a ton of parts that you can sell off until you have enough money to where you can start building a bigger Corvette

Hey, I get it, I played just enough to get some salvage, and now I'm neglecting the game to build my corvette.
Playing the rest of the game has become an activity for when I'm out of corvette ideas
so you just need weapon. Can't afford one?
You'll soon be able to harvest that sweet salvage with a simple corvette
(which is something I do to relax... salvage corvette parts)
I'm trying to find some of those new "vertical" pieces as salvage, but I've only found one of them naturally
If you're going corvette parts farming I'd recommend a moon with Salvageable Parts since they're smaller they can make it more efficient
Man, I remember logging like 30 hours in the first weekend I had the game
I repurchased the game in late September and I now have 250 hours on my primary save, though it's certainly more as I'm done my share of reloading to get 2 free s-class freighters.

Salvageable scrap shouldn't alert sentinels unless one is actively watching you
because I saw the pirate freighter and decided I liked it better than the Sentinel I got before
so epic, i got a corvette wich uses all of atlas inspired parts, but as im on my mac i cant take photo, its also made with no mods ands it very basic compared to this beauty

the planet the tutorial had me put my base on was kinda ok, cold nights and aggressive beasties, but it was a very arid planet.

I decided to do the same, but using the offset glitch I ended up making it probably as close as I can get it.
Quite possibly the worst planet I've had the displeasure of being on though:
I think it took me 45 warps to find a paradise moon (paradise anything, but moon was first for me)
And I forgot to add the window on the side.
Daily 30rad tornadic supercells, extreme (9.2rad) radiation everywhere,
the paradise moon I found had an orange filter

which I then mostly scrapped because I wanted all 9 storage containers

They should add habs that don't have interior walls. If you put one tab next to another, they essentially merge. And they could add interior walls that have snap points, rather than using other decorative items and stuff to make "walls"

They are one of those objects like posters that instead of spinning in place they jerk wildly back and forth until you can hopefully get them at the right angle

hmm, I can see that. Trying to place these barriers on stairways is breaking me.
It's annoying. But once you get the first one you can just copy it and you have the right angle for the other.
Do watch out though because if the staircase is meshing into a storage unit or refiner you can't place the barricade. It'll keep throwing up an error. You have to delete the wall unit before you can put the barricade on the staircase

Select them to get them in front of you flat side to side. Change rotational access to the blue one and spin it to where it's straight lengthwise in front of you.
Then switch rotational axis to the red one and kick it at a 45° angle.
You shouldn't have to mess with the yellow rotational axis
Click the right stick on controller. Not sure what it is on pc.
But the first one is blue and it's the x-axis. Second one is red and it's the y-axis. Third is yellow for z axis
The yellow Z axis is very helpful for putting some things on corvette exteriors. Where it's prone to mesh badly. It allows you to lift the object off its CenterPoint. Bringing it out further from the normal snap point

I tested my ancient ruin island tower Corvette a little bit ago with a couple friends. It's able to go into the anomaly with no lag or problems. Loads pretty quickly.
It's only like 50 Corvette parts. Most of it is just decoration and item placement. Probably would cause problems if it was close to or at 100
If I had to guess, that ship I posted clears 1000 parts.
