I just put the parts I had down at the time I might make a second and really try to replicate something or just make something nicer but it does it’s job

I got mine in about 30 minutes because I came across a planet with salvageable scrap so I got all but one part from that

yeah, I've heard conflicting reports its decals / furnature inside the ship, to decorations outside of the ship causing it. I don't know if anyone has nailed it down yet or not - I haven't tried troubleshooting it on my end as I started a new game after completing the expedition and I'm just enjoying the shipbuilding
For me, the spinning out issue was fixed in experimental, hopefully that will be true for all instances of that issue
My settlement also vanished when the bug appeared, but the settlement was fixed by going to another settlement.

I'm finding the interiors pretty tight. I've gotten too used to the wide open spaces you can make in freighters so all the rooms feel small. I hope HG makes the habs merge-able. Also, not being able to put modules on the front or back, just the sides, of habs is annoying.

Very specific but landing gear having to be at the 2nd layer. Trying to build a observation floor at the bottom of my corvette but you can’t see anything because the views obstructed by loads of structural blocks supporting the legs
that would be nice, especially since those landing gears can extend a LONG way down.

Anyone else have all their pieces of their corvette disappear in the tech inventory? Like I built one, have reactors and other upgrades that occupy the tech slots....but it all disappeared now, only leaving the core items (hyperdrive, proton cannon, pulse drive, ect) and the upgrades I put in. Sans like 3 pieces

If the whole ship vanishes, try to get to a space station without switching starships and try to edit it. I never got to try that unfortunately.

Fixed an issue that could cause a corvette to fly off when outside of the ship.

First time playing NMS, only 60h in, all I wanted was a Class S ship, I ended with a container full, ~80% in one day, of corvette parts and a Class A ship 😆
I am loving this game, I need to continue my corvette parts farming ( I didn't know it would turned out to be a farming), it is missing some parts I think.
I need to start putting things together.... slowly.
Not bad at all. I haven't yet used those wing thrusters you've got there.
what do the cargo racks do?
Same thing as the base storage
They allow you to access your storage container inventories I believe

Agreed Argo; if there were more fiddly bits I may go crazy overboard but then I haven't gotten too crazy with using camp decorations for the outside of the ship outside of a few vine wrapped ships I "crashed" into the hull during the expedition (like those crazy people in Firefly/Serenity)

There's no reason for them to be greyed out, storage containers support all items

One fun thing is that you can place all of your corvette parts in the Corvette Workshop Cache to save space! (object on the left)

Yes, regular items do not belong in the corvette workshop cache.
There isn't supposed to be any way without save editing to place non-corvette module items in there
I believe wings do not affect maneuverability at all, at least from my testing
Only thrusters and medusa reactors/cockpits, of which you can have 3 of each become technology
plus the pulse engine upgrade modules
thats not true. the items in my corvette storage are not from save editing. they were bugged in there, unless you're talking about the new player who also showcased their storage with non-greyed-out non-corvette items
The other player was showcasing their regular storage container, regular items are able to be placed in regular storage containers

yup i made a bug report two days ago but no contact. just hoping it gets fixed as i could use the slots
it's weird how you can't extract illegal items from the cache too
they may just make it so that you can do that
Though they have 150 slots and there are only like 100 parts so far
from my testing they add anywhere from .1-2
also from my testing, medusa and azalthine (i don’t know how to spell it) reactors add the same amount but without needing to be placed directly on a hab or support part (habs and supports subtract abt 10 maneuverability), and can be placed on eachother instead. the first 3 reactors add abt 10-30 maneuverability and then everyone after that has the above effects. i just discovered this like 10 minutes ago and am curious what else i can do to take it further

there’s the outer edges and then the part that has the copper-y door shaped entrance part. for me i just hover my cursor over that coppery part and move around a little until i get the angle right and you will see a green dot for valid placement but no projected shield
because installing them after the fact means you can go past the complexity limit

Corvette parts do not have variable rarities
well each part may have different "classes" assigned to the tech they place, but those are meaningless and all of the same type are the same class I believe
i dont mean for items i mean for stuff like warp drive, engine and weapon upgrades
You can increase cargo and technology inventory space at any Starship Outfitting Terminal using either Storage Augmentations or tons of Units
The only way I believe to have a corvette higher than C-Class is to manually raise the class of an existing one at a Starship Outfitting Terminal using nanites

Storage Container contents are not tied to the base object used to access them, they are save and accessible from any other storage containers in other bases, including freighter bases and corvette interiors
where does the storage go? it will show back up if i place it back down?

Just the storage module, the storage unit within it is shared with boxes on planetary/freighter bases

When you place the storage thing back down, you will be able to interact with it and see your storage again

Remember you can tightly pack peices to and overlap them to make hulls
You don't need your ship hub to always be out
can you attach the casting to a hub off to the side so i can see how it attaches, i still cant seem to do it

Those videos may have released before the 6.03 update, which now allows you to place parts into the cache manually for use in building and trading.

Well the corvettes purpose surpasses combat alone. Id say its main use is that its a mobile home/base
I feel like there should be maybe increased range or lock angle. If damage is way too high then focus on utilities.
My current combat platform is a Sentinel Interceptor with enough juice pumped into the Infraknife Accelerator to kill Dreadnoughts and Sentinel Capitals in seconds
Corvette is never gonna compete with that
just use infra on the corvette
(All the SC slots are in a neat little square and they're all Infraknife)
As of now switch havent even receive the update yet, been 2 weeks already, not even sure if its gonna drop
Lucky roll on those SC positions.
DPS on Corvette Infra is 3 times less than my Sentinel Interceptor, but the latter is a really good roll

Yeah, that is how I am looking at it. I still wanna replace my Freighter with a Class S from the pirates which is another thing apart, but I am hopping to build a flying home base corvette to depend less on the Freighter and outposts.
For now, I am having to claim base so I can use the Minotaur which is the main reason I can get corvette parts so easily or fly low, I have found countless crashed freighter and exosuit pod upgrade just by flying low, exiting and entering the atmosphere also triggers the topology to change and time after time I have landed back looking at crashed freighter.
I am hoping I can somehow have the Minotaur base in my ship.
I do have the exosuit upgrade that allows me to call the Minotaur from anywhere but I need parts that I won't have access for now, I am 60h into the game.
It just feels odd that your average capital ship sized corvette, scoots around like a small fighter ship xD

UNSC design philosophy for warships is just make flying gun, make ship out of gun if you're talking early covenant war designs or insurrectionist colonies war time period.
For the pelican its just a hover ship anyway.

nah like this is what they mean (custom) i built it myself and the interior that u can walk around they not talking about the normal starships, these have modules and they act give them stats too

theres a mod that removes the limit but personally its kinda cheating so i dont use that lol
I hope so, I hit the limit on mine the first time, so I made it again but smaller, and almost hit the limit again haha
Since 100, I'm sure is stressful. Optimization of Corvettes further might allow them to increase the limit seeing as I can feel the duct tape, hamster, and the servers threatening to go on fire.

I love how much space these things can have (this builds got the 100 part complexity limit). In this ship I have a whole floor just dedicated to plants, then I have a whole ByteBeat studio (love to make music), I have a med bay room, sleeping quarters room, crew hangout room and observatory, and a storage floor.

In tech, 3 S modules next to each other or adjacent. In ship building, 3 reactors that if you read, will say what stays they give. You only need 3. The rest are cosmetic.
Reactors don't care where they are, just that they are on the corvette.
Tech, and reactors in the tech menu of the ship do care if they are next to each other to boost each other in a square shape area relatively.
This goes for every tech.

Looks pretty good to me - I would say having the ramp at the front is also my preferred position for it, but it's inconvenient in space stations 🙂
Is the turret on top of the titan class cockpit just decoration?
I'm not a fan, mainly because of that spiky bit on top where the non-functional turret is lol - and while the Ambassador cockpit has excellent visibility I don't like the design of that either
AND for me at least the ambassador modules in general are a bit buggy - side attachments work fine but if you join habs front to back they don't put in the bulkheads/doorways properly
It has a ramp at both ends. Bottom floor is just cargo.

you need to play tetris more, a lot of your stuff is not connected :) I.E. Zenith reactors connected (near hyperdrive) will increase your jump length even more
