if you want easier without that, you'll still require building the most basic bare bones corvette possible, flying it to a nearby scrap planet, getting it into planetary atmo, putting it to a direction via autopilot, and then staying on your temporary corvette until you find a piece while you're constantly in your scanner.

then you shoot the scrap from the sky and rinse and repeat. just don't forget to remove the corvette parts from your temporary corvette's inventory

Also the thumbnail showed like different ship models that I tried on that corvette in 1 thumbnail... so something weird is going on.
