“Black Mesa.” My first proper stab at corvette building, and a big thanks to all of you who figured out how to off-set modules. Because of how compact it is the entry ramp is located directly behind the cockpit; everything beyond that is upgrade modules and decor.

Warwolf 2 is meant to fight & jump long distances a 2,737 jump range & 2,9337 maneuverability with Positrons it evaporates everything in its path.
The orange Corvette is a shuttle for friends & with everything on one floor because to heck with the stairs & is the bare minimum.
I prefer smaller efficient builds & being able to turn. I do want a Reach Saber that would be cool.

Thats simple you just place let's say a scaffold or any other part on the side and then the Engine should then attach to the sides and you need to flip one of them to fit they other side

After that, i used the expedition save as a normal save because now that i have a functional corvette it would be a shame to waste it. Besides, i lost my main save so this will do as the new one . And that got converted into this.

Finally finished the Ziggy Stardust, a bulk cargo corvette. Huge cargo hold in the middle of the ship. Detailing this was a lot of fun. Crew quarters, general storage, etc, all in the stern of the ship. The bow has extra storage and can act as a brig or extra quarters.

if you cant get them to fit, you may have something else blocking the hitbox. you gotta force a snap by placing more things at more locations. such as adding another hab or structure next to it

normally you can place those side by side, then add two more end to end behing them, but sometimes, if the hitboxes are blocked, you gotta get creative, like maybe using the reactor-turret stagger.
stagger turrets on a reactor, then remove it, boom, you now have two off-center snap points. coolest part is, it will also flip the turrets so you can put upside down turrets where you normally cant

he could have built the whole thing off center 😛 but likely, the reactor stagger

you can also do more fun things with that, such as adding MAAANY spikes 😛
you just gotta repeat the stagger and you can have a crazy looking ship

i'd go bigger if i could, but that's as long as ships get in NMS... for now. and yeah, absolutely. the ship parts are so big that you have to go huge if you want a reasonable level of detail

This design is technically longer than allowed. You can kinda cheese it if you're fast enough. Find a suitable spot near where you want to place something (but can't because of size), then quickly snap back to the intended location while hitting the place button/key.

What are the glitch building techniques and where do I learn them

YouTube, the glitches are nothing crazy but it does give you a lot more options. Use the duct to move parts in increments and the propeller wing module (the single short one) on one side to move habs in smaller increments. It only works if you put the propeller wing module on one side tho for some reason

Use the duct to move parts vertically or side to side and the prop for forward and aft. There’s others I think I haven’t messed w tho
