#demand lengths

In a realism sense there isn’t even be demand following you would just run at max output. But yea makes sense for longer Demands
since demands change really quickly currently
It’s every minutes which (to in game time) is every hour. I mean like during peak hours you don’t even have to change our output that much
yeah
But you can get a from 430 down to 120 when you go from peak hours to low hour
But longer times wouldn’t fix the problem. The devs would need to better implement that the demand goes up reaches peak goes down and doesn’t just abruptly falls
Or abruptly go to max
tbh i dont mind the jumps but i do having to change the wickets ( demand ) every minute
IMO the devs should focus on other stuff. Like they are currently remodeling and reprogramming basically everything
yes true but im pretty sure demand time is just maybe 1 or 2 likes in a script
idk
but depends how they scripted it
Yea
your usually not changine load from 450KW to 160 in the span of 5 minutes for 24 hours
it's hydro, not nuclear or lignite
hydro just gets a +- setpoint and agc stays within that
Fr
Btw what the hell is "lignite"
coal but way worse quality
I keep referring to coal plants as lignite cuz of my grid sim xD
But coal is normally also not used in lead/demand following
As a German we had many coal plants (most/all have been Shutdown for "clean" power)
you would be surprised
Tbh most reactors are just a fancy way to boil water
most of the time they just run at half capacity because they aren't allowed higher
Thats named: Baseloading
You get a day and night amount and you stay at those setpoints
not exactly, base loading normally refers to staying at full power for a long amount of time
Baseloading can also refer to staying at a certain output for long time (atleast from what I know)
what is this? the first ever grid made? xD
you don't do anything
you don't stay in any setpoints
it's normal frequency control that agc does
and the grid control center just tells agc the minimum and maximum output the generator can make
no it's because no one here actually knows how grids work
it's all rbwr propaganda with demands
that everyone followed
Ik that demands are semi unrealistic. Mostly added so players actually do stuff
well anyway we kinda went off topic here lol
I still stand by this ^
ty germany ❤️
i support the idea too
atleast 2 or 3 minutes (hours faketime) if not
no there are plants i know like SAB that run at the highest load they can
but during the night they use pumped storage as a way to store water
because thats when the highest generation is
ehh it changes based on what the grid operators want
we usually baseload hydro and nuclear and use plants like halton for peaking
