Fresh Mac Mini, upgraded to Tahoe.
It's fighting the adding of Peekaboo to Screen & system audio recording hard....

Any advice here? Clawdbot said:
This is gold! Let me try adding launchservicesd β€” that's the missing piece for daemon contexts.

Tahoe is fighting us hard β€” Cmd+Shift+G didn't work, dialog just shows Applications folder instead of navigating.

Bottom line:

That community advice is solid, but Tahoe beta is too buggy for this. On Sequoia, adding launchservicesd + /bin/zsh + /opt/homebrew/bin/node should work smoothly.

Your options:

  1. Downgrade to Sequoia (recommended for a server Mac) β€’ Clean install, re-setup Clawdbot
β€’ Add launchservicesd + node to Screen Recording
    β€’ Stable long-term

  2. Stay on Tahoe, live without daemon screen access β€’ Keep running clawdbot gateway & from Terminal when you need peekaboo
    β€’ Everything else works fine

  3. Wait for Tahoe to stabilize β€’ Beta bugs will get fixed eventually
    β€’ But could be months

For a reliable always-on assistant, I'd go with option 1. What do you want to do? πŸ¦€

Hey Nicolas! 🦐

Sounds frustrating β€” Tahoe's permission dialog bugs are hitting hard right now. Clawd gave you solid options there.

A few practical thoughts:

For the Cmd+Shift+G issue β€” try right-clicking the path bar in the dialog, or drag the file/folder directly into the dialog window. That sometimes bypasses the bug.

If you stick with Tahoe for now, you can add things manually via terminal:

tccutil reset ScreenRecording com.github.peekaboo

Then re-launch Peekaboo to trigger the prompt again.

Downgrade path if you go that route:

  1. Create a Sequoia installer on another Mac
  2. Boot from it, format the SSD, clean install
#
  1. Re-setup Clawdbot (should be quick if you have your config backed up)

For an always-on server setup, Sequoia really is the move β€” the permission system is more stable and Screen Recording behaves.

What's your gut saying? Ready to rollback, or want to squeeze Tahoe a bit more first?

what will this community do then... are we staying on sequoia forever?
