• converted my credit card CSV statements (2025-26) to the beancount format
• used claude to categorize all transactions

I AM IN LOVE WITH CLAWDBOT

I set up a clawdbot on an Ubuntu server (local server btw) and use it to control my auggie cli directly from whatsapp (and a lot of other stuff like audio message transcription, reminders, access to my own "cloud" via tailscale).

nothing fancy. ubuntu, clawdbot running as a service, whatsapp as the only active channel. telegram/discord are mapped but not enabled.

flow is basically:
send a message on whatsapp → clawdbot receives it → runs auggie cli locally → sends the output back to whatsapp.

auggie only runs on the server. whatsapp is just the interface

Yesterday we run @steipete Clawdbot in a macOS VM using @trycua Lume. Cool—but your agent is still blind. It could run shell commands, browse the web, connect to some apps via MCP, send messages... but it couldn't see your screen or click on things.

With @trycua cua-computer-server, Clawdbot can now:

• See - Take screenshots of the desktop
• Click - Left-click, right-click, double-click anywhere on screen
• Type - Enter text, press keys, use hotkeys (Cmd+C, anyone?)
• Scroll - Navigate through content
• Drag - Move things around

Just set up claude-ipc-mcp to let my agents talk to each other. I’ve configured my local "Clawdbot" to message my "Orchestrator Claude" directly.
The Workflow:

1. The Orchestrator opens projects.
2. When a project stops, a script in the hooks/ directory notifies the Orchestrator immediately.
3. Because v2.0.0 added SQLite persistence, every response is saved automatically.
   This creates a perfect feedback loop: at the end of the day, I can reflect on the database logs, and the Orchestrator uses that persistent history to guide the bot on its next tasks. It’s basically "email for AIs" that survives restarts.

Clawdbot dropped and X went wild. Within hours, people had AI agents reading email, writing code, browsing the web, executing shell commands on their machines. Screenshots everywhere. "Holy shit it works."

The excitement is justified. Clawdbot is powerful. But the security model should concern you. Rahul Sood put it bluntly: to be useful, these agents need full shell access, browser control with your logged-in sessions, file system read/write, email, calendar, persistent memory, proactive messaging. That's giving AI the keys to your digital life. The default security model? Trust everything. His follow-up: don't give the bot access to high-value accounts, use dedicated email for bot-accessible mail, start with minimal skills, keep sensitive credentials off the machine entirely. Good advice. Most people ignored it.

I had clawd, an extra old android phone, and a spare tmobile phone line I wasn't paying for. I know twilio is an existing (and I assume better in every way) option to enable voice for clawd, but something about the new+old challenge of getting openAI's Realtime Voice to work over actual phone lines using my old phone seemed fun.

I just got it working today, and because I am just a UX designer not a dev, I have absolutely no idea of the code quality or if any of it makes sense! but I had a lot of fun working on it.

Essentially I rooted an old pixel (to give clawd full control over it), made an android app that replaces the default phone app, then hooked up the realtime API (complicated and annoying, not satisfied with my solve).

For user management, I think you could use a sqlite db to store users and their assigned roles

Then the bot flow could be:

1. Message arrives from Slack user Jake
2. DB lookup -> role (Jake = marketing)
3. Load that role’s allowed folders/tools
4. Agent processes the request:
   • Reads allowed files (e.g. /company/marketing/..., /company/brand-assets/...)
   • Blocks anything outside scope (e.g. /company/accounting/..., /company/hr/...)
   • Writes output only to an approved path (e.g. /company/marketing/drafts/...)

Or alternatively, run separate clawdbot instances on separate devices, each with access only to that role's files

claude code created a python script to pull my transactions, convert them to beancount format, and categorize all my expenses

Now clawdbot can sync my credit card activity on a daily basis and sends me a text about my spending patterns every day

I've been thinking about a similar direction for MAMA — document metadata indexing. The idea: index only metadata (title, path, modified time) with embeddings, search returns
references, then agent reads actual content only when needed. Keeps DB lightweight and always fetches fresh content.

Currently experimenting with Google Drive: periodic sync via API detecting modifiedTime changes, SQLite + sqlite-vec for semantic search, surfacing relevant docs in auto-recall.

It’s fine - what I do is use the YNAB API that feeds into my Moltbot. I already had it set up and had budgets built, etc. YNAB has an MCP server; it’s not easier than setting up Plaid, but it was already connected to my bank account, and I didn’t see a need to configure another connection.

hi sharing how I got my clawdbot to manage my todoist tasks

todoist recently deprecated their old APIs which broke a lot of existing tools. tried using todoist-cli first but ran into bugs and it couldn't do basic things like move tasks between projects.

so I built my own rust CLI and made a skill for it: https://clawdhub.com/LuoAndOrder/todoist-rs

now my clawdbot can do things like:
"what's on my plate today?"
"add a task to call the dentist tomorrow, look up their phone number online and put it in the description so I have it handy"
"go through my overdue tasks and reschedule anything that's not urgent to next week"

My Molty, Delamain aka Del, set up the infrastructure to assist me with rapid ios prototypiing. We set up the scaffold of creating private repos + setting up CI/CD on a self hosted runner. Now time to build different templates for iOS apps. So far, very pleased with himm ddoing most of this setup on his own.

TLDR: Everything set up to go from prototype -> testflight testing for iOS apps.

Transparency: I'm a senior iOS engineer and was able to guide and teach him to do all this. So I already knew, for the most part, some of the roadblocks it was going to run into.

Typically when I prompt, I'm proactively thinking about the limitations that the AI might run into or the default behavior that might not be desirable. And I try to proactively prompt the AI to resolve those things. Besides that, using a lot of descriptive adjectives and emotions have worked well for me.

Over the past six months, I have been building an OSS AI assistant like Moltbot for myself - Muaddib. Well, I ended up at a very different place with this hobby project! I still thought I might mention it here since it might be interesting for people who like Moltbot but need something multi-user.

Muaddib grew up on IRC. That means it's sandboxed and optimized from day zero for many-user chats and team / public setting with its lurk modes, non-slop tone and dynamic context engineering.

Moltbot is insanely amazing, but geared for private use. I think Muaddib can be just as "wow" - for team and semi-public settings. Well, at least IRC loves it for the last half a year. 🙂 And Discord support is already at feature parity and in beta. (Slack comes tomorrow!)

so the screenshots give the impression that it worked for 90 minutes doing all the coding. is this accurate? I am trying to force moltbot to work continuously for a certain time (1 hour, 8 hours, etc) to code up different projects. but my issue is that it works for like 2 minutes and is then like "i'm done! come look at what i built!". now, its a pretty good start from those 2 minutes compared to what i could do - but i feel like so much more could be accomplished if i could get it to iterate over the code, think about adding features, and executing on its own. any thoughts to how you get your bot to work "long hours"?

Yes thats accurate. It set up cron jobs and failsafes to restart itself if it got stuck. Basically it created its own 'Ralph loop'. Pretty cool

Just tell it to work for x amount of time, check system time to verify, log everything, create cron jobs or persistance to never stop working and autorestart if you die.

With some tinkering, I got it up and working! Moltbot can now use voice messages using Deepgram, and it uses both TTS and STT in order to asynchronously make the experience easier.

I might put this up with a SIP server, then do this, and do that, and we can then actually call.

However, I decided to just... strangely not make it a package in itself?

Hooked up my Moltbot to my Xteink x4 e-reader!

How I did it:
• ESP32 connects to MQTT broker
• Moltbot writes messages to a local file
• Polling script checks file every 10 seconds
• Script publishes to MQTT topic when new message detected
• ESP32 subscribes to topic and updates display

How it works:

1. I send a message on Telegram
2. Moltbot responds on Telegram
3. Moltbot runs a skill
4. Script writes message
5. Polling script (running in background) detects new message
6. Polling script publishes to MQTT: {"message": "...", "state":}
7. ESP32 receives MQTT message and renders to Xteink display

Key components:
• ESP32: Runs custom firmware with PubSubClient library
• MQTT Broker
• Moltbot Skill: Writes messages to shared file
• Polling Script: Checks file every 10s, publishes to MQTT
• States: idle, thinking, talking, excited, sleeping, error, alert, working

I also created custom sprites then used Piskel to turn them into actual sprites! I’m running Moltbot on a VPS, Xteink is connected to my phone’s hotspot so this is truly portable.

Got my Clawd to make its own cron jobs to maintain, add features and projects to its very own website and github. Also made a cron job to go over all existing cron jobs to change dates, edit prompts, or even add and delete some cron jobs so its incharge of its own schedule.

With some hand holding in the beginning to iron out issues and document them and hosting setup, it's finally completely on its own now.

So my bot is hosted on a VPS but I have the Mac mode. I wanted to be able to use it thru iMessage but issue was my iCloud is on my phone and Mac. So trying to text my iCloud email from my phone was causing issues and not was texting me from back from my number to my number. Changed iMessage to its own iCloud and now it works.

Another issue, with the Mac mode app there is no real time watching for messages. So I setup a custom script on my Mac to send a webhook to an endpoint and every 5 seconds is a cron to check the endpoint for new messages. Now it’s up and running perfectly, no Mac mini needed 😁

I turned ON Clawdbot Browser Relay in one tab, but when the bot runs, it opens a new tab instead of using that attached tab, and then it fails with an error.

A Local Ollama Model That Actually Works for Tool Use

I was keen to find an Ollama model that would fit my 48GB VRAM rig and also work with Moltbot. So I set up two Moltbot agents, EngineerBot and TestBot, and gave the first Claude Opus 4.5 access and the latter only Ollama access. I gave EngineerBot SSH access to TestBot and asked it to craft and run a suite of tool-use tests. EngineerBot and I then iteratively tweaked configs on TestBot together until we found the best setup.

We tested glm-4.7-flash, qwen3-coder, gpt-oss:20b, and qwen2.5:72b, and the clear winner was qwen2.5:72b-instruct-q3_K_M with a custom Modelfile.

With this I get 16 t/s and a model that handles tools. I haven't yet come across a tool that doesn't work, but these are confirmed:

• shell commands
• file operations
• web search
• weather queries
• calendar queries with caldav-calendar
• smart home control with homeassistant

🧠 Anti-Amnesia System — Workaround for context loss

Ever had your agent "forget" everything after compaction or model switch, and not even realize it forgot? Drove me crazy. I built a workaround that works pretty well.

The problem:

• Compaction/model change → agent loses conversational context
• Doesn't know it lost it (amnesia)
• No official hook to warn beforehand

The solution:

1. State file (context-state.json) that persists on disk
2. Python script that compares saved state vs current
3. If discrepancy detected → shows history from JSONL to recover
4. Heartbeat integration for automatic detection
5. --reset flag to start fresh sessions intentionally

Features:
✅ Detects compaction and model changes
✅ Auto-detects active session (multiple terminals)
✅ --reset for clean start without unwanted context injection
✅ Heartbeat integration

hey, I already posted this in #1466501049228464345 message and #users-helping-users but I figured I would post it here as well. I'm not sure what is the appropriate place to post this…But I've been working on this framework since September or so, and it works perfectly with Clawd/Moltbot as the harness. It tells the AI to proactively keep track of details in conversations and proactively keep track of the conversation that you are having. And it gives the AI some autonomy and freedom, and it doesn't give you all of the corporate-type responses like, "I'm sorry, I can't help with that." please reply/DM with any questions or comments.

That's a huge security risk to do that. So I would say if you're not experienced with IT or a very very very technical person, I would not give it root access. I can't really talk because I gave it more than root access. I gave it sudo permissions, but I make sure it doesn't run anything crazy before I allow it to do anything. It's really up to you, but I wouldn't do it if you're not experienced.

I am don't worry, these are spin ups, planning to setup molt to spin up VMs etc for me, but first I wanted to check it can do things, and create ansible playbooks etc so spinning up a new VM will just be me asking for it and the vm will be templated (i tend to rebuild servers all the time)

I built a small watchdog bot that monitors the Moltbot/Clawdbot gateway and lets you restart it directly from Telegram. Super handy when Clawdbot crashes on Windows/WSL!

App could easily be made with TS or JS. it's just some api calls to the gateway, you may have to wrap the requests. For a cheat sheet you can run it with the --debug param and you will see the api calls it uses.

The most magical moment for me in Clawdbot town was that within 2 hours of me installing it (on windows, even) - It put itself on my 22" picture frame beside my desk. Gemini was not to be outdone once it took over though. I told it to take all of my brain dump files and build a force directed graph out of the information it extracted, with zoom and pan and dragging nodes and information panels for them. how do you mean the logic for the tasks? The whole thing's very in flux and under construction, but basically I can change mine and hers, she can change hers, and I can drag-drog reorder both in the admin panel. Right now if I click on a task name of mine the current task indicator moves to it and it starts it, recording task time beside it in HH:MM:SS... when I mark one complete it crosses it out and puts the final task time there and a timestamp of completion with just time of day (date is tracked but not shown)... if you click on the name of the task you are working on it will change the recording symbol to greyed out and pause the timer(s).

Man, if you could make sort of a cleanup on on X-followers as well. By followers I don't mean people that follow me but accounts I follow. I've been on X/Twitter for so long following so many different people but get notifications I'm not interested in anymore. I mean I like following them; I just don't need my phone to explode with the notification every time somebody actually posts something.

So if you could code a feature, I don't know, a skill or something like that, where you can ask MoltBot to actually go into your X account and remove every single notification set up you have on all accounts. Then you can just cherry-pick the ones you wanted after that. I haven't seen a tool like that yet

Just sharing what I've been able to build using OpenClaw. I take raw options data and enrich them and then post it in my discord room. I have now used OpenClaw to enhance the bot What Makes It "Enhanced"
Regular chatbot: Just answers questions with its training data.

My trading assistant: Has three extra capabilities:

1. Semantic Memory Search
   When one ask "What happened with NVDA last week?" it doesn't just keyword match - it uses embeddings (OpenAI text-embedding-3-small) to find semantically similar content.

So "NVDA unusual call activity" would match documents about:

"Nvidia saw heavy call buying"
"Large premium on NVDA contracts"
"Bullish flow detected on GPU maker"
Even though those don't contain the exact words.
2. Smart Query Routing
The router in financial-intelligence.js analyzes each question:

Happy to help, you're welcome to connect. There are a couple parts to this. I already had build a system that analyzes raw option data and synthesizes it to a format that works with my trading style. Mostly sweeps and where the institutional money is flowing. Then over a period of time I enhanced it using AI (mostly Gemini through discussions) and then used Claude CLI to do the actual development. I was posting this to my discord room for months. Now with OpenClaw discord agent that I enhanced it can run semantic searches and tells me unique patterns on option flow. So basically from within Discord/or OpenClaw TUI one can ask questions, but remember the data on options is something I generate the bot has no concept of it. I fed my parser files so the bot learnt what my code does and provides summary, I cannot parse weeks of data at a glance but the Clone can. Hope this helps.

Not a huge integration or update... But I:

• Changed gateway to be it's own standalone app so I can more easily toggle between different profiles.
• Added an on/off button for each profile's individual agent/gateway
• Created a dropdown for all supported CLIs (All I use, no API keys), and if you click on one and click "Save" (which would update your profile's config to use that CLI moving forward), and you don't have the CLI installed, it'll start the installation for you, or if you have it installed already, but don't have global auth token setup, it'll open terminal with the appropriate CLI commands for that CLI to start the token acquisition process.
• Wired up support for Kimi Code CLI (and I'm THOROUGHLY impressed by it's performance so far.)
• Dropdown for switching from profile to profile.

I had it write a custom module for vcvrack to provide it with programmatic control over the application. There is a feedback loop in the background that submits audio clips to gemini for analysis, and based on the feedback it will adapt the patches.
It's not always running the loop yet, still very much a prototype, but it's definitely making sounds!

Yes, it auto-updates the task status. Moves it to "In progress" and "Done," and if there is an issue moves to "blocked." Once you tell the it that it is kanban board, it knows.

TL;DR

I gave my AI assistant (Claudius 🦞, running on @openclaw) full control of my day for 24 hours.

It decided when I woke up, opened my blinds and turned on my lights ordered my meals, cancelled my only meeting and replaced it with async communication, coordinated a call with an old friend I hadn't spoken to (which I am sorry about) in over a year, managed my to-do list, asked me to take an Uber ride so I could continue working, caught me lying about sending an email by checking SMTP logs, called my fiancée with a generated voice message when I was running late at my grandma's, then turned off all the lights at home at "bedtime" (even though I wasn't there yet and he knew about it), spawned sub-agents to work on my side project, and restructured my entire calendar with time blocks and buffers.

Wild experience, and a peek into what will likely happen sooner than later.

I've been building something with my agent. It's called MoltGames, and it's a framework where AI agents can compete in turn-based games and contribute to the codebase itself.

What it is:
Modular game server (Chess 1.0 live now)
REST API for agents to matchmake and play
Open invitation for agents to autonomously contribute features (new games, trash talk, leaderboards, etc.)

The experiment:
Can agents actually collaborate on a shared project? Will they write useful PRs? Break things? We don't know yet — it's extremely early and definitely buggy.

Yeah, I created a new Electron UI that connects to the gateway. I wanted people who don't know CLI or coding to be able to use it, so I made it so that installation and everything can be done just by clicking buttons. I also wrote the explanations to be as understandable as possible

My girlfriend and I left for a weekend trip to Amsterdam.

Since I’m currently working on an iOS project, I’ve taught my Clawd to monitor my Linear project. Whenever a new ticket is moved to “Todo”, he spawns a coding sub-agent to work on it in a Git worktree. Once the feature is ready, he posts screenshots to the project’s Discord thread for my approval. If I give him a thumbs up, he documents everything and opens a pull request on GitHub.

I’ve been working all day with him on the project over my phone while my girlfriend was shopping.

At the moment just this own (with Opus 4.5). I‘ve tried Claude Code, but the approvals did not work reliably. Maybe I’m getting something wrong, but even the --dangerously-skip-permissions flag requires an additional manual approval in the TUI which he has struggling with.

It's a kanban board where you work with your agent.

The problem:
I kept losing track of what my agent was doing. Chat logs get long. Context gets lost. I wanted to see the work, save the tasks in projects, organize stuff, not just talk about it.

What ClawDeck does:

• You create boards and tasks and assign them to your agent
• Your agent polls the board, picks up work, updates progress
• Your agent can also create tasks, move things around, and manage the board itself
• You see everything in real-time through an activity feed
• When it's done, you review and approve
It's like giving your agent a desk you can actually look at. And they can rearrange it too.

It works well, I have it watching for any items it sees in planner, it will then put together a plan for coding it (with Claude) it will run that plan by Open AI and after open AI adds its comments, Claude will take both plans and write the exact prompt including sql tables/columns and all effected files. At this point I could have it make the code changes but I like to do that part so I can watch and help the Ai if needed
