Yeah I have a morning brief, a midday brief, and a nightly brief. They all have different types of information on them. My biggest report is my nightly one. I fed it all of my x-followers and it gives me a wrap-up of what happened on X and also a couple of key accounts that I follow. It also can track that as well. I'm using my ex-premium account on OpenClaw to do those searches now that Elon allows you to use your premium account on OpenClaw so I don't even have to pay for the API call to check that.

I don't look at it every night but if you have a busy day, it's nice that you can just pop in and look at your agent's synopsis. It worked perfectly tonight

The new slowdown is this: this Discord session is now ~86k tokens, and the Codex app-server path has a hard native-thread reuse cap at 70k. So every turn logs:

codex app-server native transcript exceeded active token limit; starting a fresh thread

That means the runtime keeps throwing away the warmed Codex native thread and starting fresh, which kills the fast path and causes Gateway CPU/event-loop stalls. The new delay is native thread rotation.

Yeah, roughly: Discord is fine, but the Codex-side session wrapper is losing its warm thread.

The 70k tokens are probably the accumulated local transcript that OpenClaw is passing into the Codex app-server for this Discord channel: system/context + memory excerpts + chat history + tool logs. After the update/debugging, that transcript got huge. The app-server then says “too large for active reuse” and starts a fresh native Codex thread each turn.

So the layers are:

Discord: receives/sends messages normally.
OpenClaw Gateway: assembles context and routes the turn.
Active Memory: adds its normal ~10-15s recall.
Codex app-server integration: tries to reuse a warm native thread, but refuses once the assembled transcript is over its local active-token limit.
Result: every reply takes the cold path.

I should verify the exact source in code/logs before treating “70k” as a durable fact, but that’s the meaning: not the model’s max context, a local warm-session/cache threshold.

... and I think it went into a deep end looking into the problem 😛

bootstrap-context is taking ~29 seconds per embedded Discord turn.

Nah it's that they are scared of people running scripts that delete entire directory trees or f up databases etc. But they have a tough job managing the kind of people who could have been their boss but decided to move into front office because it pays better.

The problem is they were doing it wrong. IT trying to take ownership of responsibility without understanding the use of it that is actually paying their salaries. The right approach would be to get people in FO "certified" or made responsible for the very things IT is trying to control.

obsidian is worth using purely because it's a great way to store notes. The graph db that comes with it is a plus.. and it works great in tandem with openclaw.
