the same epub imports fine on my phone and desktop, and after I attempt to import nothing is added to logs/manatan.log

pretty good with tech so troubleshooting should be easy

#

depending on how the epub import works, I could just import on desktop them transfer everything to the local library

gray vine
#

copying everything over added the novel to the app

#

yup that seems to have done it, just need to make the dictionary popup light mode and increase the font size

buoyant basalt
#

Give me the not working epub

gray vine
#

sure, and this epub works both on my phone and my desktop

#

that's why I was able to copy everything over and have it work in the app

buoyant basalt
#

What epub doesn’t work than?

gray vine
#

that one, it doesn't work on my supernote a5x2

#

I hit import and nothing happens, I check the log and there's nothing in it

#

I worked around it by importing on desktop, then transferring all the files in local-novel directly to the supernote

buoyant basalt
#

Can you send pictures

#

What do you mean by it failed

gray vine
#

I hit import, I select the epub, it goes back to the normal screen, and nothing happens

#

and manatan.log says nothing about it

#

I assume it's just completely broken on this version of android the supernotes use

buoyant basalt
#

What is the version of Android?

#

Can you delete the logs folder

#

Then replicate the problem

#

Them give me all the files in the logs folder

gray vine
#

will do

#

also having trouble with local source manga on the supernote, gonna look for a workaround

gray vine
#

alright I've removed all 3 files in the log folder and removed the log folder itself

#

hah! the import button works now for some reason

#

the app updated, and I restarted my supernote and it works now

#

I still can't get local source manga to work though

#

I'm going to try hosting Manatan on my PC and loading the manga from my PC

#

here's the logs regardless

gray vine
#

ah, I got local manga to work!

buoyant basalt
#

what happened

gray vine
#

there seemed to be some corrupt files in the local library folder

#

adb couldn't remove or rename the folders, but I sideloaded a file explorer app which COULD rename the parent directory

#

then put new files in there with a very simple folder name

#

while I have you, is there a way to encourage Manatan to not use com.mangatan.app/files?

buoyant basalt
gray vine
#

sometimes, it uses that folder for logs and local manga sources

#

instead of storage/emulated/0/Mangatan

buoyant basalt
#

what do you mean sometimes?

gray vine
#

it might happen when I re-install/update

#

well everything seems to be working so it's fine
