#the rulebook should be correct

very much agreed with the title.
There are a fair amount of inconsistency between the Rules listed on the Faceit Page Overview and the Handbook, along with Announcements. That along with ruling changes that were not announced when added.
Would you mind elaborating @fierce fern what rules were not followed? You should've been able to raise an issue by contacting admin staff through your matchup pages if this happened during live matches.
for me this was
- the times for faceit league
- the dates for owcs stage 3 (roster lock)
- number of matches for owcs
brought all of these up with admins but got told to just deal with it basically
The OWCS map pool listed on the FaceIt tournament page was also incorrect. The FaceIt League schedule was wrong for most of the season on the tournament page. It looks like they REALLY need someone to go through and review accuracy/consistency for all their posts/rules.
For faceit league reschedules are optional so could that perhaps have caused issue?
With dates for OWCS stage 3 roster lock - yes that was a bit misleading when official rules stated roster lock as Aug 15th, but it was implied and inforced that it was the 14th due to the NA debocal of Swiss seeding.
The number of matches for owcs was not easy to understand via rules and overview. So I agree that it was misleading. Had to find explinations more via the Faceit Blog posting instead of rulset irrc.
Swiss = 9 matches
With Top cut matches 10 and 11 for Groups (pending teams with records of X:X)
