I tried building with it many times already
Maybe change it to 90 str 90 dex req with no neg. sp?
Or lower the neg. sp
Or even remove either def or agi (my least favourite solution but it'd work too)
due to recent sustain powercreep (aka you can get plenty ls through just tier items) & there being a few very good hp options to balance out virgo's hp

Instead of a chance based thing
Currently ls realy isnt reliable in tierstack
You either need hpr, stealing greed or really really high ls (like 10k effective)
(stealing greed is better because while also being chance based you can control when you're getting healed; if it doesnt trigger for 10s you can pick up emeralds you didnt need earlier)
i believe it was originally intended to be cooldown based but couldn't be coded (at least at the time) so it became chance based
personally i think chance based is the much more interesting version for at least life steal
we really should go over what gets and doesn't get stealing someday

ETF apoc easily dies if you have bad luck

aledar has ridiculously high burst damage
but yes against aledar you would still have to get unlucky
But yes the problem is getting unlucky
In things like wars super fast ls is super reliable
But when you hit less mobs..
you have an okay point but like
- life steal would become health regen 2
- life steal would not have the interesting powder special synergy
- life steal would not be the interestingly better thing for melee anymore
- life steal would be a lot trickier to actually get off well for hybrid
just so it very specifically prevents getting very unlucky?
for mana steal you'd have a better case for a cooldown, but for life steal it's just not a change i want to support
Hmm true, maybe make it so you get a guaranteed proc every 5s if you didnt proc it in that time?
So after you proc it it starts / resets a 5s timer and if this runs out the next hit will have a 100% chance
Wouldnt be like hpr then I think
well that would just be inconsistent
it could be interesting to have something that regains health on a cooldown based on having to take action
but life steal can't be both

What if instead of a chance based thing you gain x% of your life steal per hit?
