I don't think anyone wants to experience losing their gear again, because it popped off, when they had full inventory, when a new patch comes out
alternative idea: give us a reason why the piece doesn't work
e.g.: "Identification Agility - 30 from piece X blocks usage of this piece"
"instead of it working most of the times with sometimes needing to re-equip, make it so you need to re-equip every time"
what? this is just simply not right. pre fruma you had to only re equip it once and its literally faster and less confusing with the old version
pre fruma it was also clear what doesnt work and what does. now its like some buggy thing where half of the items are put on but they dont take effect or something
my issue with the new system is that its incredibly buggy
the usable/unusable thing does not update properly

Can someone reproduce a circumstance on current servers where the new equipment validation system confused them because it did not activate a piece of equipment for some reason?
Like some explicit example in the form of

- Put them on in this order: [...]
- Resulting build activation state is confusing.
