Yeah this is the 3rd time ive tried to get acrobat dagger and my count is like 9 seraphim daggers and 5-6 viridian/siegfried daggers in total, i have gotten all the 14 other archetype weapons except the one i actually play. Its actually ridiculous

something like "for each crate type, you can choose a cosmetic that you will get in xyz amount of crates if you don't get it before reaching the limit" ofc this would have to somehow account for the tier of crates and maybe even scrappin results

I downvoted because lootbox will stay no matter what, its a compromise between morals and money to upkeep the server, but it DOES need a pity system

Also suggesting again there should be the option to either scrap x amount of tier y for 1 of the next tier up, or maybe a different amount of x tier for 1 of the same tier of your choice

also also the current system has no 'pity' mechanic whatsoever for rares and commons

it is not uncommon for me that the last cosmetic in the crate I dont yet have is rare

mathematically unlikely, but not uncommon for me

but its common if Im going for 3 pets each for "last cosmetic" I need to be a rare pet

I haven't had that exact experience yet, but it took me quite a while to get every common wynn item b/c I only get t2 crates from champ
Also I've deliberately bought multiple of the lowest event crate package to get more chances at rares that I desperately wanted instead of one bigger package with better crates

as said in this thread already, scrapping is only maaaybe half a pity system

a pity system is where you are either

1. after a while or after certain amount of crates, you are guaranteed to get the certain desired cosmetic or item you wanted
2. after each crate where you don't get the cosmetic or item you want, your chance for that specific cosmetic or item gets increased until you eventually get it

scrapping does NOT guarantee to get a certain cosmetic, nor does it increase your chances after each time you don't get it, so its not an actual pity system

ofc scrapping is higher chance to get a certain cosmetic in that next tier than from crate, but thats still not a pity system

scrapping is enough for me because I do have enough shares at each festival (though sometimes barely) to get all of them, but its just not a guarantee, and especially for those who dont want to buy 200+ crates to get a certain cosmetic (if they have bad luck), scrap system is not enough

A few years back every cosmetic I had at the time (before any festivals) back in 2020 when I had opened over 1000 crates back then I got a dupe which made all my cosmetics exept pets duplicate. I scrapped all of them and only got 1/3 items I was missing from the regular crate selection
