I believe the one major factor unaccounted and unrecounted for would be whether or not monkey finder can blank your items, but I haven't heard much of that, either --- and I imagine we would hear very quickly if it could happen. many people are nearin'/have unlocked Wartorn Palace now, and there simply are not enough guild raids to go around, not at all

internally, the server uses a horribly-mangled variant of 1.8.9 infrastructure --- the world data format, on top of this ancient nature, is itself a modified format made for Wynn eons ago that, from what I understand from what they've told us about it, hardly even accomplishes anything it was made to do and just causes infinitely more problems than it solves (this is why pre-revamp horses never worked right with anything that wasn't full blocks, and sometimes even with things that WERE full blocks). the team, as I fathom it, has managed to hackney their way into usin' up to 1.12 in terms of block palette --- but, due to the Flattening from 1.13 and a ridiculous number of additional backend rewrites made to the base game after that point, CT isn't currently capable of actually movin' the server any further forward in terms of full support, as both the world format and the team's build tools are fundamentally incompatible with the more modern formats used for block data storage and savin'

now, thankfully, very fortunately, this doesn't strangle the team enough that they can't use any modern implements --- the team has used more recent versions' sound effects to great effect, and the new instruments are largely thanks to modern versions' increased noteblock instrument selections, new resource pack supports have greatly improved what the team can do with their pictures...even the Mistwoods have the latest Minecraft versions to thank for the ability to have their oppressively dense fog!
but it does prevent the team from makin' any meaningful improvements to the way the world file itself or the blocks used in it are managed until they can overcome the monstrous technical debt hurdle that is the Flattening vs. the ancient custom world format used for Wynn

it's unfortunate, very much so, but technical debt is as technical debt does, and it's inevitable with a server as plentifully old as Wynn is

I'm having a problem where the dialogue in stage 16 of Solidarity of Steel just abruptly stops and I lose my hp and mana bar and ability to cast spells until I interact with another NPC

I reported a bug in housing as early as 2022 i think, thats pretty annoying and only has a rather obscure fix to it. Shouted on it on 2.1.3 beta cause i saw zeer was online so maybe it'd grab his attention, and then he later made fun of me on discord because I find a housing bug problematic

So I did some playing just now, went with Morph set just in case. Game was stable till the end when peeps in the server started to throw Combat Bombs and a Mob Totem. No issues with bank or inventroy. So I think the servers should be safe now for normal gameplay.

My best guess is it's a culmination of poor internet, server lag, and whatever tf they coded to make this an issue with fruma

I am yes particularly direct with people that are trying to be snarky and this happens quite often on a daily basis, specially if you are offending the team in any way. Like I have said to you a few times, we just have higher priority bugs or tasks than sponges in houses acting sometimes weird, which is basically harmless, and we are quite a small development team. Like you are on a thread about people losing items, which is way more problematic and needs to be solved asap (which i have been working quite a lot to figure all cases), imagine if i just stopped and used my time to fix sponges. We work with priorities and unfortunately a lot of bugs, specially vanity ones, are quite low in the list. It's not like we don't fix bugs, we do, quite a lot of them, daily

only by myself, i have almost 2000 commits with the word "fix" in them, which is probably not even all matching cases

Yes I know its a rather small thing, but it kinda isnt a good look where you laugh at a bug thats been reported. Makes it seem like you dont care, no matter how bad or "useless" the bug is. It's not the end of the world, though it does just give a "I dont really care unless its a major bug", which coming from a dev just sounds like you would rather people abuse stuff at that point. Personally its better to try to adress it formally in some way instead of making fun/ignoring those who actually report bugs over abusing bugs and keeping them secret.

(Also, a simple bug like that surely cant take 4 years to fix even if you have higher priorities?)

This is partially why I want to make a Wynncraft stand alone client completely decoupled from Minecraft. It's a long term project I want to start with writing the Minecraft server protocol layer in c++. Yes its ambitious but hopefully it gives Wynncraft a way out in the future that lets them keep the servers running as normal and can give players an option to run and play without a Minecraft account (but to begin with it will use mc login until it's good enough to support wynns account system or something)

The results allow me to confirm that from the thousands of players that joined during the release, 267 had their account bank pages over number 2 clipped from their accounts due to having a semi-broken bank state. Since backups were pulled this also means I hold a copy of what these banks contained before joining on 2.1, and even though I can't promise it will be done, I'm willing and already putting efforts into restoring the items lost to their original owners. I understand the inconvenience and loss caused by this issue and we offer our apologies to every player affected by it

I'm doing Through the Pipes and im doing the boat section with Fichu. It became so laggy the boat is not moving. I've tried to fix it by doing /class or joining to servers with 0 lag but it just made it worse.

10% of the playerbase is like 2000-4000 players which seems really high, especially because it’d be concentrated on the portion of the playerbase that plays the most

The way I beat through the pipes is by a bug where you would first need to sink your ship

Causing you to go back

And this should allow you to swim across the water

i believe that its something to do with how wynncraft wants to combat duped items, but it ends up deleting innocent peoples items

Didn't they change how lag works now? So like some things have priority now to render and some others don't, instead of everything lagging all at once, or at least I guess I noticed that and I think they mentioned something about it

So I figure those changes are the ones screwing stuff over
