It sounds like this now... terrible change
This is still not explaining it very well at all. We have not intentionally changed the arrow bomb sound
The new arrow bomb is generic tnt spam its loud it's obnoxious and not at all the right direction to take the spells audio design... the sound was fine why change it?
It was intentionally changed if it was changed.. Huh!?! You don't accidentally change a whole audio queue..
Like come on gng it went from sounding normal subtle and balanced to BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM in all directions
What more do I need to say?
As I said if the sound is different to what it used to be then it's not intentional. We migrated a lot of internals for spell VFX in fruma and it's possible for some mistakes to be made!
I'll try to find what changed and resolve it now I know about it

There is also a issue with escape and arrow storm casting these are more known issues but all in all archer took a hit in bug department it seems with the transfer from beta to live
leap also sensitive
like it makes it more annoying to do parkour in certain cases for instance one of the first fruma quests
i cannot buffer jumps at all without accidentally leaping bc it just insta activates mid air with 1 tap whereas before you had to intentionally double tap the space bar mid air

it feels exactly like this when the update hit live servers too
its a bit strange its like this considering escape apparently not being touched whatsoever
I have noticed some delay that has followed across servers and have not gotten better with server stability with leap also
probably the 5x player increase but if it stays after player count drops then yeah
I just wish more archers would come forward about the issues
Well leap did get fundamentally changed in it's trigger for fruma
Because with new tech we can more accurately detect this "double jump" trigger
It's impossible to bring back the old behaviour exactly and we tweaked it during beta to be the best based on the feedback we got but that can obviously change now we are in full release
It just needs time to get more opinions, we won't be adjusting stuff immediately without longer for players to get used to changes
Is this why arrow bomb audio thread has taking priority in a response time to escape/archer movement thread because arrow bomb audio was indirectly affected by something?
And was not an intentional change as stated where as movement/leap was
Nothing is taking priority, I just respond to feedback that I see and hasn't had anything on it yet
I responded to the horizontal escape stuff during beta and said that we haven't modified escape so its likely something to do with detecting being stuck in a block not allowing that mechanic anymore
its not a very intentional nor reliable mechanic so if we do decide to do something about it, it would likely be to try and introduce something similar as an intended feature rather than re-adding a weird behaviour
it would be great if it was reintroduced the old way or via intentional mechanic
The way you did it before was jumping and then very close after escaping
would be nice if intended mechanic was similar to the original
original was reliable with practice
you could get maybe 90% consistency
most people who play intense archer want the old mechanic back
I'll second that leap has been really buggy with the new update, it's incredibly inconsistent in activation

Sure! I've been having trouble getting it work now. Before it was always just a very quick double tap of the keyboard, and it always worked perfectly. Now it seems like it needs to be timed just right with a slight pause between the two taps to activate it at all. But even then it doesn't always work. I'm not sure if this is due to server lag or what but using the same timing, it doesn't always activate. Let me know if you have specific questions, sorry I'm not entirely sure how to explain in more detail than that.
That's perfect! It's strange though because the only comments I've seen this far have been too easy activations
it does sometimes feel inconsistent
also stomp (pressing sneak) after escape feels slower
I saw those comments too and I'm a bit confused. I think it's just inconsistent generally, I guess sometimes it might activate when I don't expect it to, but just running around I'm usually always trying to activate it so I haven't noticed accidental activations as much.
wynn staff seems to have put a spell cast delay... its noticable on archer an extremely cast time focused class
the muscle memory you built up for years is what seems to be thrown out the window... i do not think this is server lag
PLEASE FIX ARCHER CASTING arrow bomb you can cast with 2 clicks... cant cast arrow storm because if you try to you end up casting arrow bomb wtf did you guys do to archer... you have the community thinking its user error and some swear its fine?!
None of these things are things that we have changed about the class and are almost certainly just because of the immense amount of players online causing some pretty bad lag right now with the new stuff
We haven't added any extra delay or changed the casting combinations for spells
there is 100% an issue with bomb/storm you can cast it in 2 clicks
