1st Archetype: COMBAT ENGINEER: This is meant to be focused on manipulating and deploying different kinds of turrets to do your bidding, acting as one big zoning class.

  • Archetype Feature #1: LIFEGIVER. Casting bulwark no longer gives you a shield, nor does it cost any mana. Instead, it now swaps between turrets available to deploy. You may now switch between deploying a turret and deploying a lifeweaver, a stationary pylon that tethers itself to the nearest person in range with the lowest health. The hope is that it'll heal a percentage of your max hp per some time interval. Turret capacity increased.
  • Archetype Feature #2: MORTAR. Adds a third kind of turret, a mortar/cannon. Lower fire rate, higher damage, and has explosions that can deal with crowds. Turret capacity increased again.
  • Archetype Feature #3: COMBINE: Ion cannon no longer fires a beam. Instead, all currently deployed turrets/lifegivers/mortars merge into one movable "tank" that absorbs the dps and properties of the deployables that make it up. It acts as a separate entity, and can draw aggro if need be. Once destroyed, it falls back into its base parts.
