The 30% "multiplicative" penalty is too strong.
I have two proposed solutions:

  • Reduce the multiplicative damage penalty to 10-15%
    OR
  • Give equites and Galloping spurs -dmg% as an ID.
  • Give Galloping spurs a lower penalty so that it doesn't hurt lower level players.
  • Give equites a higher penalty, while also maintaining its allure for higher level players by giving it some benefits over Galloping spurs.

its hard to judge how good cavalryman is in endgame rn because theres.. no endgame content where horses can be used

I think when it was -70% it was actually just -70% spell and melee dmg as Identifications
and not a multiplier

so you could kinda cheese it with raw spell

charge/dash/tp spam is already faster
even bolt can probably keep pace easily enough
limiting the MID to early game items and a FA item is already restrictive enough damage wise I think

this was before the lootrun update beta even came out i remember a CT stating they reported that bug with horses
Which is certainly not the only reason they are disabled today. but it is the original reason
