Please make it so you can use /gu xp even when not in a guild. Xp contributed when not in a guild goes away forever. Aka voided. This would allow people to slow their leveling even when not in a guild. Also allow for certain kinds of challenge runs outside of guilds.
Maybe this could be /void xp % instead.
Or make it /xp contribute %.

Also make /gu xp has some existing issues.

  1. Please make it per class. (Its buggy currently and sometimes inconsistant) (like punscake brings up)
  2. Upon logging into a class, make the game notify you if xp contribution is already on. (Can be an issue for many reasons.

Albeit, locking your XP gain seems a bit risky considering the current complaints with level scaling in content

  1. maybe? its not buggy or inconsistent currently thats due to wynntils, bring it up with them
  2. maybe but i think it would be ignored

As for being able to void a % xp for "challenge runs" i dont think people doing that should be catered to beyond a certain point since artificially slowing your leveling speed is frankly against the main system of the game (see level scaling issue for example). id rather a content completion "gamemode" get added instead

gxp 0 is problematic for level scaling in raids but thats an entirely seperate issue

Im thinking about a progression gamemode but /gu xp has just been brouht up alot... so i was giving my thoughts on it. Since it allows for self enforcement of the system then it shouldnt be locked behind guilds.

Levelling in this game is waaaay too fast.

Especially below like level 70 you fly through levels so fast that none of the content matters. By the time you find a fun piece of gear you immediately outlevel it. As soon as you find a cool area you're almost instantly overleveled for it. There's no incentive to explore or interact with the world.

At least that's what I found. I played back in like 2014, and then didn't for ten years. When I came back I was basically a new player. No wynntils, very little map/mechanic knowledge. And I fired up a new class and was just blasting through so fast that it really hurt my immersion. I very fondly remember the much slower pace from back in 2014. Many things have improved since then obv but the pace is not one of them

ye i remember exploring this game for the first time

like being in areas for prolonged amount of time and actually not daring to go to certain areas cuz i would just die, grinding for armor pieces to get stronger but now its just not worth doing it cuz u out lvl the gear so fast

you legit dont have to do else except quests and kill mobs along the way and u wll lvl up quite fast

this is an issue because even if you are planning on discovering everything, you would probably skip areas like rymek or the ocean because of how fast you can get to higher levels

imo this is fault of the level difference in killing mobs being not as punished as they should be
