#More Physical Characters (in Lore) (Descends into rant about magic vs pure strength)

Listen man, i love magic but i think we have seen abit too much of magic.

All these major figures use magic and spell to do stuff, that it feels like weve not seen pure physical might as much as we have ought to see it.

No im not talking gameplay... atleast not really, I just wanna see more Characters that show their power without using spells.

And i think i know the one: Tasim, whos (presumably) scheduled for some major quest cameos in the future like Aledar.

So before disaster strikes, heres my suggestion: have him be a muscle man. No spells, no special techniques indistinguashable from spells. I want him to be an actual warrior.

This will for one set his fighting style apart from aledar who feels too much like a mage sometimes. Get him a custom model like the mutant zombie mob from that one popular mod. Have someone in Fruma (if he appears there which could make him stand out more cuz in fruma magic is super important) use some super-antimagic spell on him which he just shrugs off. Pure ideological difference. Yeah i guess this whole attitude of his can be traced back to his perception of fruma... so lets make more of that!

Have him be the guy who helps the serfs rise up (if that happens) by showing them not magic, but working out. Have him claim that not touching magic has him less infected by the influence of the realms.

Have him make jojo poses. Make him Jonathan Joestar (with his sketchy 'light?' powers and my suggestion in appearance and ability that could even be pretty close), atleast in abilites and physique.

Have him rip apart some major enemies with his bare hands.

Hey, this version of him fits well in fruma. Nice.

Uuuh... go further! Make him swear off magic AND technique! Make him someone who annihilates everyone through the glory of pumping strength (no skill cap on him).

I thank you for coming for my ted talk and i hope the development team make use of some of my suggestions.

In one of my books theres an order of knights who are basically this, but even more homoerotic (i can say that word right), where they believe themsevlves closest to the angels through the perfection of their bodies and muscles; no magic no technique. Also nothing to cover those muscles (except a loincloth). I dont want them to go this far tho.

i dont think theres any lore indication rn bout the fruman monarchy revolving around a magic wielding caste (to my knowledge) and it still kinda contradicts the events of recovering the past

no worries man. i just want to see more physical feats, since everyone seems to spam spells at every moment, or do things with magic.

This is partially a flavoring problem - I'd argue there's a lot of magical feats that could be reflavored as physical. Lucio for AJB blew a hole through the tavern, and instead of referencing a spell, he could've just destroyed the wall, had some commentary on his strenght, and have someone else repair it via dialogue

#

Having those 'physical' characters would be nice, there are a lot of wizards and sorcerers in the story, but very few barbarians and fighters.

He might’ve just gone and got more, since I guarantee you can’t fit more than 10 cattle on some rickety old boat

He’s definitely sending them in groups, because sending them all isn’t possible

so if he could do it himself, why did we need to push their boat?

I’d like to know where they plan to progress these guys, because it took me 2 years to see that Woc didn’t stand for “Wynn Origin Cows”

# solar osprey Woc’s were added in that update

oh. i think that will continue with the eventual space update where we confront the aliens and their rainbow-flavoured rocks (especially the white ones). actually given one of the research brothers is in fruma, we can expect some new lore drops about space in fruma.

I feel like magic is just always going to have a leg up over physique, unless you want to do the whole "willing power through magic" type of trope which isn't something I am particularly fond of.
