I mostly play tna so im almost just going to talk about tna in this thread but all raids have a lot of similar problems so pls fix them all

I think raids are to easy. Maybe newer and less experienced players dont agree, but most people i play and talk with also think that raiding is lowkey just an afk simulator until you get to boss. Once you get to boss you a pretty easy boss for 20 seconds to 2 minutes depending on what raid you play . (maybe you dont think its easy the first 100 times you fight them but all bosses have like 6 attacks, its pretty easy once youve seen them a few times).

The way i see it there is two ways to make raiding more fun, either increase the difficulty of the raid, or make it so you get rewarded for not afking in rooms. Difficulty increase punish the less experienced players, so rewarding skill is probably the better idea.

So how do we reward skill? Here im just going to talk about tna but there is changes to be made for all raids i just dont play them as much. Also not every idea here is perfect, but at least I would prefer to have it this way.

Also maybe everyone call the different rooms different things but i think its obvious what room i talk about from context.

I want to make it clear that the goal here is not to make the rooms faster than what they already are now, just that you get rewarded for not afking.

Room 1
Stump room: This is one of the worst rooms in the raid, one person afks while the other people have to cast a spell or two every 10 seconds. Instead i think all void holes should spawn at the same time as soon as the timer starts, and every time you kill a hole you get like -5 sec on the clock just like tcc lava room. You would probably have to decrease the dmg of the holes but the player standing in the middle would still be at risk for dying since theyre now way more at the same time. The timer could be 2 minutes long to compensate for the time you save.

**Berry **: Here skill already matter somewhat for the person holding berry(still pretty easy), but maybe the other 3 ppl should have something to do other than just defending berry holder. Its so easy one person is enough to defend while the other 2 afk . Also the void holes are so buggy, sometimes the attack doesnt registrer

Room 2
In general i think both room 2 are already good but i still have some things to say about them

**Tree room: ** Being inside of the tree is very fun, and also being good at tree saves a lot of time. For the other 3 ppl however its pretty boring. Everyone should have to do something similar to being in tree, if all 4 players are good the room goes faster but it should be soloable.

Light room: I think all of the enderman should spawn in instantly instead of them sometimes being delayed. Also maybe make the range you are safe in longer in the beginning, but it slowly goes closer to light holder as the time goes, until eventually the raid fails. This would be cool

Room 3
Void matter After collecting 4 void matters the room is fun, but the collection is so bad. 2 easy parkours and 2 easy minibosses

Bulb: This competes with stump for the worst room in the raid. Afk for 20 sec, kill a mob, repeat 2 times more. Its legit 80% just waiting around. Very badly made in my opinion. Instead, have three cages holding the bulb guys, and one cage open every 20 seconds. The cages also have hitpoints (alot of it), but if you kill the cage you release the bulb person and you can get to it faster and thus get rewarded for not afking on the blue rock

This is just my ideas feel free to critize and come up with other solutions.

I didnt talk about the boss in this thread, but maybe another time since i do have some things to say about that as well.

In my opinion, the mazeroom in nol is one of the best rooms in the game. All players have to participate, but even if you are new you can still complete it altough it takes more time.

I get the idea from the stump room. But your idea makes it slower since the 6 voidholes only reduce a total of 30 seconds while the timer is increased by 1 minute.
Berry is somewhat hands free until the one who holds the berry is lost and forgot where the voidholes are.
The tree room doesn't mention any fix, but its already good so idc rly
The light room could be interesting, as deaths by the first player moving too fast are common, and there is no loss except time going slow.
Void matter is the resource room that is the most fun of all, I wouldn't call it bad. also no fix suggested.
Bulb also has an issue with waiting around and your idea is alright ig

It USED to be timegated because in the past you couldnt get 4 to destabilize the void holes

Boss

Make vertical hole cover 80% of the arena width, and make it always run horizontally at 3x speed to ensure good area coverage.

Make the aerial black hole that spawns cast watched beams on a random player while its alive.

Allow watched totems to spawn in random locations, and add 2 decoy totems that will kill the player if they attempt to break it.

i love this idea nut i think that the rewards in tna should scale based on how much boss damage you do. the amount of times where my team has died and i have spent 20 minutes killing the boss with big mac just to get rewarded with a measly 1 le.

For real, if you want a battle (in pretty much any game) to be difficult of you've practiced and beaten it +100 times. You'd have to make increadibly BS bosses/challanges. To the point that party finder is just not an option. and new players are not incentivized to do raids.

The general idea makes sense but don’t agree with some of the individual points.

For example, take current light room - basically entirely rng, not much skill required (eg you get good shadowling spawns or you run around like a headless chicken).

The solution to me doesn’t seem to be just linearly decrease the light radius, which will either not be noticeable with good spawns or frankly just annoying with bad spawns.

Instead, would prefer if they did something like reverting most of the room to 2.0 where shadowling positions/patterns could be memorized, rewarding pattern recognition skills. Or canonizing the old light skip (eg like make its own thing instead of just a way to get around the parkour), which required practice if you were skipping on something like archer and holding light (block above your head).
