#Remove the bosses death animation for "A Burning Memory" world event

I just fought my way solo through this world event and only had 10ish seconds left when I killed the boss. The world event failed only because of the bosses death animation of it sinking into the ground taking too long. If it would be possible to remove the death animation.. or make the world event flag as completed when actually killing the boss that would be appreciated.

I don't know if this is a possibility for other world events too, but if this could be widespread considered it would remove the frustration of being robbed of a completion because of a death animation.

i like its death animation it, but itd be nice if all mobs with a drawn out animation like that actually counted as dead when it starts, not ends

that world event is really rough

Is this the bane world event

because some mobs do some important things on death

#

that the thing should wait for and it'd be weird to have it would be weird to have it inconsistent

i'll try to just make its death shorter in the world event

Death animations are cool n all.. but if it could just instantly die for the world event I wouldn't complain

Especially cause everyone already sees the death animation at least once through the quest to even get through the bridge xD

it should just be way quicker

Alrighty, understandable

A lot of places could benefit from death registering before the animation finishes, a decent amount of we and lootrun challenges progress much more slowly due to it

Those dudes take five seconds every wave to explode and then you can't even be damaged by the explode

Hmmm...

#

Is it possible for the we to end when boss hp reaches 0 so chests spawns while boss still does the death animation...?

Make it si enemies on the final wave don't have death animations.

I must admit I have not seen the code for the wynn mob system, but if you‘re already saving custom health etc. It should be possible to just add a new field and then check for entities that are considered not dead via that field instead of just living entities

I should have been clearer

#

The problem is that mobs being considered existent during their death sequence is the correct behaviour in all cases

#

It's on ct to change mob behaviour so mobs disappear in a timely manner when they die in a time sensitive environment

#

Making an extra parameter rule for this in the way op described would both be dev work and rarely ever used

Even in vanilla mobs still count towards the mobcap during their 1s death animation tho idk if that is at all related to how the wynn system works

Those are some evil intentions

workaround idea: pause the timer after the mob dies? it will play the full death animation without being in danger of running out of time

You are saying you can kill the miniboss and STILL lose to time out...?

#

Sure that almost never happens but yikes... as_what

it's just not quite that easy

#

some mobs do some relevant attacks on death where the mob dying doesn't mean it's safe yet

#

and at a certain level this just becomes hairsplitting

#

i'll see to reduce the death time on the mob, there really needs not be much more done

i will say some mobs have confusingly long and uneventful death animations that should be shortened
