#Outer void suggestion

I do outer void a lot when I’m bored but don’t wanna commit to a lootrun or raid, and it feels lacking. I wanna preface by saying the recipes we have now are pretty balanced, just adding more requirements to some items wouldn’t be good, but some of the void drops could do with at least one other use to make them a bit more versatile

Making any actual money from outer void comes from selling the crafted items on market, not selling items to the Scavenger. To that end, many dropped items in outer void feel like they have very little use besides the scavenger.

After getting all of the upgrades, the Golem Capacitor, Tangible Intangibility, History Textbook, Miracle Leftovers, Abandoned Pot, Mosaic Tile, Bleached Branch, Frying Pan, Hobby Horse, Lone Component, Metal Plate, Luxury Timepiece and Arable Chunk, only have once use each.

Large Metal Chunk has no uses after getting the upgrades. The Archaic Writing also has no use, but that seems to be the intention

As for what could be done with them, I think bloating the armor and accessory pool just to give them all more uses wouldn’t work. 5 fableds is reasonable and some of the items already feel like filler.

What I think would work best for some of them though, are trinkets and consumables. Trinkets feel like a very underdeveloped side of the game right now, with most of the good ones being festival locked, such as craftsmas dinner or ring of memories. It’s not as bad for consumables since they have stat potions and speed surges. Outer void feels like the perfect spot to put weird trinkets and consumables that give niche effects. The void already has The Hopeful Lantern and purified void essence, so the outer void could have more. Perhaps the lower tier crafting materials could be used to make consumables, while the lower tier ones make trinkets that give fun or somewhat useful but not necessary temporary effects

but most of the trinkets are festival ones already. theres barely any that are readibly optainable, let alone actually useful

third clarion is the only easily optainable one that comes to mind, and its just enviromental fire resistance, which barely comes up

trinket bloat as in too many trinkets existing, and alongside that theres an issue of trinkets being more useful than they should be. We kinda dont want trinkets being overly strong either because thats an issue in its own right

I mean yeah, but the "bloat" in trinkets comes from most of them being barely useful or only optainable less than 1/12th of the year, or both

And theres a few that are just straight up stat buffs with no draw backs, while others have crippling drawbacks for almost no pay off

and some like third clarion or spyraiders spyglass have almost no use cases

Outer void would be a good spot to put some interesting tradeble or consumable ones that actually are useful, since its something everyone can do at any time

EX: the yogurt and miracle leftovers could make a reusable level 75 potion. Not as good as the level 100 ones you get, but doesn't cost emeralds to keep using (or lower level idk game balance). Relic of Shattering + Large Metal chunk could make like a reinforced relic that makes you unable to deal or take damage for 15 seconds. Tangible Intangibility could make something that gives temporary Intangible major ID (that one writes itself)

i kind of wish potions in general became reuseable trinkets that were slightly weaker but i think they sserver as a minor money sink anywya :((

Add craftable mythics to outer void

idk outer void getting mythics seems like a bad idea. Unless its like, a mythic chestplate or a new type of mythic like leggings or a trinket i don't think it would work well. They'd need to make 5 new ones for the outer void for each class otherwise, and that would overshadow the fableds, 3 of which already have overshadowing problems

since otherwise glass cannon builds would never need to buy level 100 potions again, since the reusuable lower level one would heal them to max anyway

a consumable that gives levitation so its not locked to mage with suspended solioquy, but doesn't kill its niche by being the only reusable source of it
