In game translation

Hello,
My girlfriend loves to learn about the lore of the different games she plays but she's pretty bad in english. It led to her not understanding the lore as good as she could because I cannot perfectly translate the quest we play and I am not a particularly good reader.

Is it possible to add an in game translation for at least French ? I imagine other languages like Spanish or Portuguese would really appreciate if they could have the game translated in their languages.

Even if it is it will be better than her not understanding english or taking out her phone every 2 seconds to asks google lens for a translation

french is genuinely probably the most realistic language for us to add, salted himself natively speaks french and theres a few french speaking people on the team already, but even then its a massive undertaking. its most likely not something that will come to vanilla wynn for a long time

yet even if i disable like every feature, certain vanilla features dont work correctly

ok well the only real solution anyways is wynntils or installing some sort of overlay

its a pretty easy install but its horrific if your hardware sucks

We have quite the same idea with my gf. With the latest releases wynncraft vanilla became really good and wynntils became kinda useless

the goal of vanilla is to implement good features from mods into the base game soo

this is kinda the point

wynntils would optimally want to be a qql + extras mod, not a required mod

also uh throwing language packs as a mandatory server thing is kinda quite ass

Spanish player here... Wynntils is great on everything but translations

It doesn't work, it bugs the whole chat and doesn't even translate it well (it's google translate i get it)

yeah it's not easy to do translations when half the chat is made of unicode characters

I do want to fix it at some point but there's other priorities and it's a lot of work
