#Add something like gambits to lootrunning

(quick mockup screen) These would rotate as gambits in raid and generally change the approach to a lootrun. I don't really want them to just copy preexisting gambits, I want them to give specific buffs/debuffs to things like beacon choices/missions/trials/boons/curses.

For example a gambit could be "makes white beacons no longer appear but red & green beacons are always vibrant", "every gray beacon has a <colour> mission guaranteed","You can no longer get the <Curse>(like Enemy health, Enemy Walk Speed etc it's instead a different curse)","All Boons scale off of curses","Purple beacons are replaced by Dark Grey, however Aqua no longer appears". (I don't know how balanced these ideas are)

Implementation would ensure some consistency in runs while still retaining run variety because of daily changes.

hmm make lootruns even more complicated, as if they aren't complicated enough right now

... the idea was brought up many times, idk how CT took it, but uhh.. in any case, we should wait at least half a year after Fruma with this

i dont like this idea but the main reason for it is maybe a little weak? basically, gambits are a raids thing, adding them to lootruns not only takes their uniqueness away from raids but sets a sort of precedent that, if we ever add more syndicate-based content, those need to have gambits too

..my additional opinion is that they would make lootruns way too complicated, they are already too complicated for a lot of players

raids are typically the same with much smaller variations, lootruns have a lot more variety in them

Isn’t half the appeal of lootruns the RNG factor? It’s closer to a roguelite gamemode while raids are more set in stone endgame content

whole concept of lrs are kind of rng, thinking of slay the spire runs where you get progressively stronger
