Upgrade from a white horse to a Pegasus.

Flying mounts are common in mmorpg games especially when the map gets so big. Firstly, horses are pretty much obsolete, which is sad because it’s a neat aspect of the game, but with people able to fly at lightning speed and teleport scrolls, they aren’t too useful past the early game. Additionally, horses are buggy when traversing the terrain (lots of lag back), making for a frustrating experience.

However implemented, some kind of next tier to horses seems like a logical step to the horse mechanic; I believe that makes flight the most logical option. You can obviously determine how powerful these would be and whether it would be the same upgrade mechanic or some new lore involved method with fruma coming (just something that involves needing a white horse).

Just thought this would be a fun breath of life to a fun but dead mechanic.

i like this idea and i think mainly its a way that cosmetics can be added as a form of endgame grind incentive (horse/pegasus skin reward after completing like 100 raids etc) if they ever were to be added

Horses are so buggy rn which is prob partly why they haven't been touched in a long ass time (and are also disabled in most content 🥀 )

Horse suggestion:

There has been the "Armor: None" tag on horses for years on end, never doing any purpose. Let us add armor to our horses. They do nothing and is just cosmetic Trolled

I was gonna say that but i dont think that would ever happen... Warp can already be used to do bad things. Imagine flying mounts. It'd have to be like the bee mount in terraria or smth that can only fly for like 10s before needing to glide down to the ground again

both mage and warrior have insane long distance travel that can't be replicated by the other classes, the addition of a flying mount would help level the playing field

the mobility gap between classes is fucking gigantic, especially when it comes to long distance traversal, adding a fast flying mount just makes it so you don't have to use mage/warrior everytime you want to go from place A to place B without scrolls

why do you think everyone makes prof classes as mage or warrior? because the movement spell is like 5x more useful compared to other classes, adding a flying mount just helps the other classes be able to explore/move around easier, making them more viable for general content

Agreed, horses have long been overshadowed by other movement methods and its pretty clear that their design hasn't changed in years.
