Firstly, I just wanna mention that devs have much more important stuff on their plate than this and I don't think this is something that needs priority right now.
I have spent the last couple weeks getting all of my gathering professions to 110. Areas like Voidstone Sanctuary were always a pleasant boost to get during leveling, and they helped make things feel more vibrant and unique amongst the otherwise mundane grind of gathering.
However, it is disappointing that these areas are not present for most material types and for all 4 gathering professions. For instance, mining is much easier than any of the other 3 right now because places like the Llevigar quarry, Maex mines and Voidstone Sanc only include mining nodes (Other than Maex having some fish). I think having more areas, or at least adding other gathering types to the existing ones (For instance the swamp resource tunnels does this pretty well) would help make the grind feel less intimidating and more engaging, especially to new players. I'm unsure how woodcutting could be handled with this since trees are so big, maybe shrubs or something? That's something the more creative people can handle lol
Having areas like this for very low level gatherings would also help incentivize new players, but of course right now you level up so fast early on that this isn't really necessary. Balancing the time it takes to grind and over reliance on xp/speed bombs is a different discussion, though.
Overall, I feel like these areas add so much more incentive to grind out gathering profs, and having them completely absent from so many points in progression just feels wrong. I also think it would be nice if more unique ways of entering these areas were added, like the voidsoaked quartz in the Voidstone Sanc.
