Would be cool to have some flying bosses. Currently most quest bosses are really repetitive and two dimensional. I imagine they could add an item that allows flight, but is only usable in bossfights against flying bosses. Right now all most bosses do is just run at you and try to hit you or stand in place an shoot you with terrible aim. I get that there are a lot of quests and that all bosses cant be unique but at least some bigger quests could have more unique and harder bosses.

add content suggestion 🤯
they will need cci fr
this guy has never played trapper aco rift arca bolt fallen paladin ritu summoner shade or trickster b4 i guess
"I imagine they could add an item that allows flight"
so only shaman and trapper would get fucked

Give totems and summons zero grav 👍
exploding puppets turning into ballistic missiles sounds funny
This doesn't really like
work
Flying bosses could be used to extend boss time
Ex., have it spend a decent time in the air then have it land for players to beat the crap out of it
give it dr while flying so ranged classes don't exactly have it super easy either
It's time for shacrobat
shoutout to levitating enemies that just disappear into the stratosphere when you uppercut them
black hole my beloathed
pls no
meanwhile shadestepper, paladin and fallen cry in the corner
Bro what does that even meann🙏🙏🙏😭😭💀
Only downside is you gotta be close to said enemy for it to rly do what it can in the air
trapper is nearly useless in that fight too
riftwalker and arcanist have problems depending on how high boss flies
Can op only damage groot when its flying a few dozen in air
and lightbender loses 50% of dps
But Boltslinger and sharpshooter become AA guns in that case
a boss fight that makes over 1/3rd of archetypes (borderline) useless is horrible design
did you ever think why golden avias have only 50 hp
trapper hater here
Vro wants some classes to not be able to do content
Trapper rights matter
i kind of get where this comes from and i think a flying boss with a LOT of considerations for how players would be able to hit it in a fun way would be cool
but it's just not very feasible for more than the gimmick of one boss
the entire combat side of the player'S AT is practically built around the idea of fighting on a completely flat, convex area where the boss does not leave the ground ever
some bosses only mildly skirt this description and it already has effects like summoner being really hard to use against the canyon colossus, trapper just kind of having to cry in the nol escort 3rd challenge, etc.
Playstyles who’s dps relies on the boss being on the ground (for the most part)
what level is ur highest spectres
Feedback really fell off after Foxxo got banned from here huh
I've only played mage and assassin so what other playstyles like those are there
That's the level of post y'all engage with now 😭
52 mage on old acccount
Trapper: puts shit on the ground for the boss to walk over
Summoner: minions that walk on the ground and have a little vertical range
Etc
Things like that
Ah ok
Yeah flying enemies are notoriously annoying for most archetypes to fight
it's just a "who would suggest such a horrid thing?" kind of thought that led me to that question
also bosses do have some custom movement, it's just quest bosses earlier on that are more outdated
I thought it was a bait/troll thread
that is option 2 indeed
you just didn't know it's okay
Anyway yeah the vast majority of archetypes would struggle really hard with flying bosses
Lack of good ranged options or limited air time being the deal breaker here
this is epic but ct are COWARDS and would never add this because of made up concepts like "would be really annoying since wynn isn't really designed around being airborne" and "screwing over half of the archetypes in the game"
implying foxxo's presence wasn't a key contributor to the fall of constructive feedback lol
sentenced to play only trapper when something like that eventually comes out
also sun attack is a good example why flying bosses are horrible idea
we got to the bottom of it wrap it up guys
Foxxo threads were at least funny, now it's just ragebait
People forget the reason everyone hated on Foxxo was because his level of cluelessness bordered on art, man didn't just woke up and went "hmm, today I'm gonna piss off everyone", he carefully crafted his points to achieve that goal
I LOVE the escape bomb bomb storm cycle!
I dont think this is possible but I think the concept of underwater bosses could be explored, assuming spells and abilities get tweaked to work for underwater combat
isn't that literally this same post but different flavor
original post does say that it could give temporary flight, and swimming is just flying in water
The original post makes no mention of tweaking abilities to work for the concept
🥴
If underwater combat were ever added I'd want it to be actually designed
As people pointed out here, the idea of flying combat makes certain classes objectively terrible
but what if abilities were tweaked to work for the concept
I think it would be inherently harder to tweak many abilities in a way that makes sense for flying combat, that's what would make underwater different
I genuinely have no idea how an underwater and a sky battle would be different (counting the player having free flight) ngl
I'll put it this way: it makes some level of sense and isn't too terribly jarring for a summoner's puppets, for example, to be swimming around in the water, but it doesn't really make any sense and would be very jarring for them to be flying in the air
oh you were talking from a thematic point of view, I was thinking of gameplay xd
Pretty much
I'm making a concept for an ocean rework with underwater combat in mind so I'm planning on ideas for how each ability would work underwater to make them all viable
sounds fun
Trapper mines turn into small homing bees 🙏
Bee sense, I just knew it when someone mentioned bees
!!
!!!
bee greg
😳
Doze who nol
If you nol you nol
-# That one trapper
Right now all most bosses do is run at you and try to hit you or stand in place and shoot you with terrible aim
Have you played Wynncraft
Or did you like, accidentally time-travel from 2015 Wynncraft
Where bosses actually behaved like that
iirc, he said his highest lvl class was 51...
-# They haven't even done a raid yet ;-;
To be fair many bosses still do that even if most of the early-game ones have been reworked
That is to say, they do that in addition to having basic spells from the old system
