#ACCURATE TRANSLATION FOR MULTIPLE LANGUAGES

No
I swear we had a thread like this
several
atp we really should give up
It's not happening. It's just genuinely far too much work
welp, i guess all we can do is asking wynntil devs to make better translation or find a separated translation mod
wynntils translation goes through google translate i believe
yeh, and we all know that google translate suck at some level
hope they can apply gemini into translation or sth, that AI is free and does a very good job in translating
Wtf you mean wynntils
U know its wynncraft Server??
If you want wynntills translation go to wynntills Server
he wants wynncraft translation (vanilla), its just not gonna happen
i'm asking for a translation mode/command for vanilla wynncraft
not asking for an update for wynntil's translation
and that likely isnt happening
This happening in vanilla wynncraft is just not reasonable due to the amount of dialogue ingame and the amount of work required to maintain. Best bet is convincing wynntils devs to use something better than google translate 💔
best bet is convincing wynntils devs to use a proper translation
that's how chat looks with every message if i translate to my language
Just learn english 🤷♂️
Yeah it's cuz it translates the whole message including all the characters at the start, we need to make it separate the actual text message
There's been ideas floated around for improving the translations in Wynntils but none of the main devs have the time to dedicate to it atm
they should add manual translations with google translate for the ones that dont have manual translations !!
ngl I dont think its necessarily fair for people to just outright deny it will ever happen
everyone would love to support more languages, but they are right its an astronomical amount of work
and isn't guaranteed and shouldn't be counted on for a long while
from my really quick math, the number of dialog lines from quests alone is probably in the high thousands if not low to mid ten thousands. now consider non-quest NPC dialogs, item lore and identifications, periodic announcement messages, and all kinds of text in GUIs. that's not even all of it. adding support for different languages is going to take a really long time even with a team of people who are extremely dedicated and knowledgeable
From a quick look voices of wynn has around 13k npc voice lines and that's not even complete afaik
So yeah it's a massive task, especially having to keep it up to date in case a single word changes
wow! and many of those voice lines are quite long
there are free tiers for AIs like this but once you have to use it at scale it becomes very hard to do
you could allow user to input their own api key which will grant them like 500 requests per day but that requires a bit of setup
