I've seen too many dramas being related to guild war.
During wars, it's very easy for players to view the opposing guild as the "enemy", which often leads to toxicity and hostility.
I believe this situation could improve significantly if the competition involved something completely unrelated to fighting other guilds directly.
Here's my concepts of a new system:
- A extremely challenging boss, designed by content team.
- The boss has different difficulties.
- Guilds get season ratings by beating the boss. The higher difficulty your guild clears, the more base rating you gain. The rating is also scaled with how fast the boss is defeated.
- There are cumulative rewards. But guilds only compete based on their best single run's rating.
