acro shift to fall feature

don’t get me wrong I like shift to fall a lot better than the downward dash. however it doesn’t stop when you let go of shift, meaning one misclick at the wrong time could be deadly. the only way to negate this is by casting lacerate, but oftentimes you are already on the ground by the time you’ve both reacted to it and cast the spell. i can already imagine people tapping shift by accident, flying straight into greg and getting one shot lol. i understand if this isn’t possible for technical reasons, but it would be nice if you only fell while you were actively holding shift, if it’s possible.
