You can pretty much almost guarantee yourself to get 5 missions on all 3 gray beacons if you play right, so it feels pretty bad always getting screwed over by the first mission choice that's locked to 3 choices.
I just really hate having a decent chance of already knowing it won't be a good run at challenge 4 and having to go through it anyway to not waste my sacs

it ruins the experience when you have some pulls stacked up because you haven't seen a mythic in a while, and then you get 3 useless missions right at the start.. not even the fact that it can (sometimes) ruin the sacri chain but it just ruins the experience as a whole
I'd make it 4 missions at the start (so after 4. challenge) and that would be fair

I mean I think an elegant solution is just adding the beacon buffs that apply to the acual beacon apply to the mission selector for chall 4
