Yo. On the agenda is the degradation of the above-mentioned class...

Previously, the Assassin seemed to be a more interesting class. You ask why?
— It was possible to flexibly juggle abilities from each archetype to create unique playstyles (yes, now it is also possible, but not as effectively as before)... Damn, you were literally an Assassin using a wide arsenal of weapons, not a SWORDMAN. Remember how you could use clones to throw shurikens and smoke bombs at your enemy from afar! Remember the deadly Trickobat (and the current Trickshade, boring, unrhythmic)... And of course, Wintel's Bamboozle

Anyway, what I'm getting at is...
Now (don't count Trickshade) you can effectively play either Acrobat or Shadestepper. 2(3) playstyles now, vs 6 last. It was this build variability that made playing Assassin memorable.

yeah but trickrobat is a nightmare to balance as with cbombs, they were never healthy for the game. you can also still play bamboozle trickshade it’s just that it sucks literally the same amount that it did a while ago but spellshade had a major glowup

the general point of there not being crosspathing in assassin ATree is true though. just think that you’re overstating how much there was before — there was no point where tricko was both powerful and good for the health of the game

I'm hoping that the Trickster rework helps to address this. That, and the hope that CT will give us patches to Shade and Acro along the way.
