#Make graid available among allied guilds/make "raid allies" and set a limit to amount of guild have

Sometimes you wanna raid with friends from other guilds, or there aren't enough people available to raid together, this would make it more enjoyable and make graid generally available to more people

Won't affect the core of the game much and it's more convenient

you have a limited number of ally slots, it's a paain in the ass for the chiefs, and high lvl guilds are just going to leave lower lvl guilds in the dust

guilds by definition have less slots than a group of guilds so i’m kinda confused

pls make this, smaller and bigger guilds would benefit and allow more players to make their own guilds

Like that idea have came up on my mind multiple times, don't break economy and core mechanics either

the issue at hand is you people are NERDS and refuse to assimilate into megaguilds smh smh

"oohhh but this guild gives me nostalgia all my inactive friends are in it" GET OVER IT!!!W

lone smelt
# eternal anchor the issue at hand is you people are NERDS and refuse to assimilate into megaguil...

The issue I feel like I'm facing is that, currently it's close to exam (at least in our country), so there is less likely to find ppl willing to raid at the exact same time, having multiple ppl from different guilds able to raid together also increase positive interaction, and sometimes, guilds are full, and when that happens ppl can still actually raid together if their guild is allied, while it is just a nice qol that "most" of the playerbase wants

lone smelt
eternal anchor
eternal anchor
#

also if your guild is full and inactive, it's time to start kicking people

lone smelt
#

I ain't the guild owner so I won't be rude and start judging the guild and other stuff, really enjoy staying in it, and you ain't even a guild member of ours, idk what you're judging especially when it's unrelated to the thread, so please make the thread for discussion and not straight up opposing on any ideas other people have and start judging their guilds or whatsoever

(I won't consider ethics for this as i am a big fan of utilitarianism.)

Sometimes you wanna raid with friends from other guilds
Join their guild or have them join yours.
Or there aren't enough people available to raid togehter
Join a more active guild, or recruit more active people.
This would make it more enjoyable
Unrelated to previous evidence. Please elaborate?
and make graid generally available to more people
Based on previous evidence from other sources, graids do not appear to be designed to actually be more accessible to more people. If i remember correctly, their difficulty was aimed at high-tier players who found regular raids more easily, and were likely already involved in a competent guild anyway.
Won't affect the core of the game much
Most changes wouldn't.
and It's more convenient
A, I think we should quadruple profession XP that would be more convenient
B, You (likely) aren't intended to jump into guild raids conveniently. Their harder, and less accessible for a reason (see above)

  1. yeah but that just makes it easier, won't break the economy and increase positive interaction, why not
  2. like guilds ain't always inactive, there are just times that people are more likely to be busy irl (likely because of its the "same type" of players in a guild, which is pretty normal (what I means of same type is like for example, they're all students or they're all adults have to work whatsoever)
  3. Raiding with friends from other guilds/able to raid with new people is generally enjoyable
  4. Graids are made for endgame players, but not every endgame player have a guild/most guilds may be full(especially summer vacation when the insane queue is smth in existence) and also tbh it's not that hard to be a endgame player in wynn in my opinion, with some skill -3-5stx builds would work, and you get that from questing/now outer void is a thing le isn't that hard to get when you just reached lv100+, first mythic is easier to obtain
  5. Yeah since it won't affect core of the game and economy, why not add a qol
  6. iagree that convenience isn't that much of an argument, but if it won't affect the game much, why not add it
#

Also ty :) (for the gl on exam)

I really like this idea. My only concern would be how score/runs are tracked. Ig you could just divide score by 4 for each person but it could be unfair for people purposely taking less gambits to help the party. Also run count would be kinda wonky since it's no longer per full party

ok so im gonna preface this by saying the arguement "why not" would have me skinned alive by my AP english teacher (who im using as my very real grading standard)

yeah but that just makes it easier, won't break the economy and increase positive interaction, why not
See earlier point about convenience. Economy isn't really something we need to account for here, and positive interaction can be achieved by doing any other multiplayer activity with other guild members, (such as regular raids, world events, caves (🤢) or discoveries.)
like guilds ain't always inactive, there are just times that people are more likely to be busy irl (likely because of its the "same type" of players in a guild, which is pretty normal (what I means of same type is like for example, they're all students or they're all adults have to work whatsoever)
once again, forgive me apathy on social interactions (it is not related to the fact i am an evil robot fr fr trust,) but my personal choice here would be to join diverse, large guild, ~~and to not consider mortal constraints such as "friendship" and "healthy game environments." ~~ and to bring your active friends over whenever they're active. Afaik most guilds have the space.
Raiding with friends from other guilds/able to raid with new people is generally enjoyable
thank you for elaborating, but see point two and consider dragging newbies in larger guilds.
Graids are made for endgame players, but not every endgame player have a guild/most guilds may be full(especially summer vacation when the insane queue is smth in existence) [and more, im running out of words]
unless something changed balance wise that i missed, most regular, one mythic endgame builds are competent for regraids, and graids gen need more specialization. Game balance is not my jam tho, so maybe i just have a shitty build (1/2)

silver wadi

you don't technically need to be in a big guild for this, but big guilds are usually also "active guilds," so i go with that because i save like 3 letters

Like tbh there is also a major reason, the vote is 58:2, the qol don't harm the game -> add it

You shouldn't have to be in an active guild to graid

eternal anchor
# eternal anchor ok so im gonna preface this by saying the arguement "why not" would have me skin...

Yeah since it won't affect core of the game and economy, why not add a qol
ok so the issue with asking "why not" over providing a "why" this would be a good feature is that it opens up an opposing opportunity to refute a point. Anyway see point one
iagree that convenience isn't that much of an argument, but if it won't affect the game much, why not add it
Convenience likely would take the backseat in content intended for optimized players. It not affecting the game much is kinda a that doesn't matter too much IMO, unless we care about dev time skull
In conclusion (two,) optimized content for optimized players doesn't need to be accessible to the general public, when it's target audience is already able to just play it.
anyway I have something i gotta go do so i concede

well actually if you read the original trolley problem paper, the author - while not a utilitarian - agreed with you. in fact, the trolley “problem” was not originally brought up as a “problem”, but rather a point of common agreement; “well obviously everyone would agree to run only one person over in this situation”. pop culture twisted it and changed it into a “dilemma”, which it never was

#

so there

ashen marlin
# spare falcon have yall considered that uhhh i di not wanna lose chief rank by being forced to...

have you considered that this can be fixed ??? why are you not considering this as PART OF THE PROBLEM?!? ??? !!! !?! ??! !!? that’s like saying we shouldn’t remove the “e” in “bote “ if bote is a misspelling of boat because then it will be further from the meaning as bot does not resemble boat at all INSTEAD OF CONSIDERING THAT “E” MUST BE REMOVED TO GET TO BOAT AND THAT AN “A”CAN ALSO BE ADDED

serene ginkgo
rich rover
# rich rover well actually if you read the original trolley problem paper, the author - while...

(interestingly enough, some of the original variations on the trolley problem - most famously, the fat man on a bridge, or the doctor and the patients - were introduced in that very paper. the question posed by the paper was effectively “why would most people agree to only kill one person in the original trolley dilemma, but not agree to push the fat man off the bridge?”, which is a question that straight up doesn’t recognize utilitarianism as a thing that exists. the trolley dilemma paper is - hilariously enough - a highly anti-utilitarian one)
