Hello there! This is Sun. I received positive feedback on my crackpot ideas for Trickster, and decided that hey, maybe they're worth something. So that they aren't forever buried in the comments of another post never to be found again, I am rewriting them here in their own dedicated post. Any feedback is welcome.
General Clones Changes
Clones no longer exclusively act as Mirror Image. Now when a clone is summoned, it either just stands there or does some simple movement based on the method used to create it. Clones have 3 hit points, losing a hit point and gaining some iframes when taking a hit. Clones attract enemy aggro as if they were players themselves.
Mirror Image
I didn't want to crush all the existing builds that go either acrobat or shade, but rely on Mirror Image for extra ehp. So, it stays. Somewhat. Now, casting shift+Dash calls nearby clones to you to protect you (max 3). While clones are protecting you, they behave like the Mirror Image clones we all (debatably) know and love. Becomes an optional node around where Delirious Gas currently is.
Bamboozle
Works similarly to before, but I think this gives it more utility. It now warps you to the clone looked at when triggered, slaying it in a brutal fiery slash. Clones attract aggro, meaning that the clone will most likely be surrounded by mobs when you to in and smack everything with the AOE. It is also (on paper) good for escaping an area quickly by warping to a farther away clone. This would also trigger any on-death effects a clone has.
Traitorous Deception
Enables spells and main attacks to hurt one's own clones.
Laughing Gas
Smoke Bomb now instead throws a clone forward. Clones now emit Smoke Bomb AOE on taking damage, doing an additional +25% neutral and +10% fire damage each tic and causing whatever effects Smoke Bomb has.
