I like the layout of the current content book, however, I think adding what province each item in the book is in, and if possible the general area or closest town to the area would be very helpful when it comes to completing everything in the book. Currently, I have to track it and then look for it on the map, but being able to do all the caves in one region or knowing what scroll to use for a world event quickly would be amazing.

I had an idea for a Content Book rework to make it less messy as well, actually
I wanted all of the different content types to be under a button toggle
So you can visibly see all of them in a menu and you can just click them to toggle them on or off
When a player first joins the game pretty much everything in the book asides from quests are grayed out and locked
Gaining access to them depends on the content itself, like completing at least one secret discovery unlocks the secret discovery toggle, a quest that introduces the player to caves unlocks the caves toggle, etc.
This way the game can also consciously, actively direct the player to the book to manually toggle on the colored sticker (whatever it’s called) type themselves whenever they unlock a new one
Like, using the funny red circle that it does in the tutorial a couple times
I might actually design a prototype, actually, now that I think about it
Yeah I do think it’s pretty cluttered rn however it serves its purpose for me trying to 100% it and this is a tweak that I think could help
I’m always about the flow of information intake when it comes to someone wholly unfamiliar with an environment like Wynncraft
The current book absolutely does not help they are not going to just instantly be engrossed in the mountain of colors you just threw at them
If it isn’t something immediately useful to them they are either going to ignore it due to how complicated it looks (and also because it’s technically not needed to directly progress through the game) or try to pick whatever and go completely off track and get lost somewhere in the plains
ngl i just think the discoveries clutter it so much
sometimes 90% of the recommended page is just this diamond i dont care about
When i told my girlfriend to try wynncraft she thought everything in the book was a quest she had to do and it was pretty overwhelming especially as a new player unfamiliar with all the terms
