Getting disconnected sucks - "You are already connected..."

Hello! This isn't really about the content in the game but idk I feel it fits here but maybe it is better as a suggestion? Idk I like it here cause it also serves as a PSA and I am not entirely sure I am correct either.

Anyways: I get kicked sometimes and when I try to rejoin the game often there is a message saying smth like I am already connected to the proxy. When I first saw this message I just kept spam clicking it cause yk I was stupid but also figured it couldn't take that long for the game to figure out I was gone. However, the message kept coming up and up and I was clicking for like 10 minutes before I could get back in. However, after experimenting, it feels like if I wait a few minutes before trying to reconnect I can get back in instantly. I can't figure out a possible reason for why this would be happening except maybe as an anti-ddos mechanism. IF this is the case, it would be nice if the message instead said, "Please wait a minute before attempting to reconnect!" IF NOT, it still definitely feels longer when I try to rejoin very quickly many times - if this is just an illusion, maybe add an estimated time thingie before rejoin like "If you are not connected, please give our servers a minute or two to process" so small brain like me don't get confused. if it is not an illusion maybe this goes into the bug fix area? Idk how I would fill out the bug fix form though - I barely know what is going on.

tldr; it feels wonky when I try to reconnect after being disconnected. if there is a reason for this, it would be nice if it was clearer. if not, it would be nice if players knew best how to deal with the unintended wonkiness.

It's a known issue that we've been working pretty hard on over the weeks lol

it is extremely annoying i agree. But its also very inconsistent

yea we've been trying to fix that thing for a lil while, it just happens randomly to random people at random time and that makes it hard to fix

In the last few ive been getting dc'd way more than previously before

Just got a network protocol error disconnect

Only thing that I did was walk around collecting territory discoveries so idk what I couldve done to trigger that

Sometimes when we are trying to figure out the cause of these problems mentioned above we can cause some instability due to it being quite intensive to get to the root of the issue

We are making adjustments and I'm pretty confident we are close to a 100% fix to where you would only need to wait a minimal amount of time when you're connection is lost before being able to rejoin

if yall would be willing to make this solution public it would be great too - other servers like telos have had trouble with this (a major reason why I stopped playing )
