In order to contain the down time demon make intro scene skippable. There's already a system in nol to skip cut scenes so I don't see why we shouldn't be able to skip them and if you really want to see the cut scene then don't press the swap hand keybind ez as that. Please help contain the downtime demon every second wasted it grows stronger!
#Make intro raid cut scenes skippable

no rank wop womp
I like that idea better
yeah just let us open reward chest without killing anything
intro scenes arent possible to make skippable
they work a bit differently to the other raid cutscenes
😔
still cant
That feels like a shit system then
me when i have to spend ten seconds looking at some really cool animation
this is really disingenuous if CT didnt acknowledge that cutscenes could get annoying on repeat completions NOL wouldnt have a skip, its a limitation isssue its not there to punish players with short attention spans lmfao
maybe it’s just me but honestly the repeated cutscenes never irked me. like i have no issue with RoL III and stuff. i guess this might not be the overall player experience but it feels like a stretch to say that having to watch a brief cutscene is some substantial inconvenience
it depends on how much youre playing something i guess, i remember years ago when NOL was first released I had to do the full ROL questline on 12 classes to get my builds in there for variety and it felt worse than a 9-5 having to do over and over lmao.
tcc having a ten second downtime in the beginning isnt going to end the world youre totally right, but it does stop being cool after the first couple, and in my experience everyone just uses the time to tab out and work on builds or something cause its really not that interesting once youve seen it. Again too i think its worth noting that raids expect you to spam run them, with mythic aspects having the absurd droprates they do and being finitely in pool, the systems in place greatly encourage running raids for straight hours at a time, which begs the question if raids are expected to be recompleted en masse, why are they not optimized to be as replayable as possible too?
"maybe it's just me" should become your catchphrase lol
tbh I don't mind the intro cutscenes since I personally do other things while waiting for pfinder, and it gives me time to get back on the game without possibly being screamed at at the beginning of it if it was skipped
so yeah I don't mind either really
if it worked like orphion it wouldnt be skipped cause you would have to confirm
I mean understandable but that's why it's a vote system if someone in the party wanted to watch it they can and if a coordinated group wanted to just grind raids they can save a few seconds to it. In grand scheme having it won't make or break the game its more of a qol fix that would be very nice
i mean i'm def opposed to the idea of just making raids faster and faster "because people are meant to replay them a bunch of times", but this particular feature might be made skippable i guess
like this makes sense
its nothing to do with raids being faster, its about streamlining the experience so players who have no interest in the fluff can get to the parts they actually enjoy (actually playing the game and getting rewards)
no raid needs its encounters shortened (besides nol and maybe golem room) but most would benefit from losing downtime
okok that's fair + makes sense
is it cuz the physical player is outside the raid? cuz ive seen if u go into 3rd person u are just standing still next to the raid keeper and the camera takes u along?
no it's cause of timing stuff
im not 100% the limitations obv but is it like theres physically no way to make it work?
it's kind of difficult to change to be possible to be skippable and i just don't think it's worth the time investment
ah ic
jsut lump it with fruma trust
intro cutscenes would be ok if i could mute them but i cant
tldr goofy ahh devs
